    I am interested in a huge aray of Art,mostly being photogravues of turn of the century Native American Indians,with E.S. Curtis and Carl Moon being my most favorite and most inspirational.
    Other interests include reading, crafty stuff, movies,Cooking,Thinking,Computering to some degree.LOVE to fish! As far as my fav places go, The Grand Canyon is my spiritual retreat. I LOVE Mexico.(anywhere down by the Sea of Cortez brings back very wonderful memories.)and I love my hometown of Milwaukee and the northern peninsula of Wisconsin called Door County.(Did I mention I love to fish???) But seriously, my real special interests lie mostly in watching all of my grandchildren and great grandchildren grow into strong, healthy and wise children, in a world way tougher than when I was a kid, and most important, being with my family and my daughter,Dena, and my unconditional friends who have stood by me thru all my highs and lows.

    Way too many to mention. I'm pretty eclectic, but some of my other favorites are Eva Cassidy,Nora Jones,Mary Chapin Carpender,Elaine Elias,Chris Rea, Boz Scaggs,Chris Botti,Andrea Bochelli, Bon Jovi (you,rock, Jon!),Sting,Dixie Chicks,Josh Groban,Danny Wright, Dianna Krall,Michael Buble,Nicholas Gunn,Toby Keith (OHH BE STILL MY HEART.Don't ask).Ohhh hell, YOU ALL ROCK!! Many more but can't think of who they all are right now.

    My all time favorite,"Dances With Wolves" I have watched so many times,I can now resite the entire dialogue,which is one great feat for Nana P. here,concidering how long it is! Any movies with Mike(oops.I mean Jack.How could I get that wrong???? Duhhhh) Nicholson, Dianne Keaton,Meryle Streep,KEVIN KOSTNER (yummmm),Owen Wilson (tooo funny), and too many more to type out for now.But I also have a great passion for alot of the older movies.. going as far back as SILENT SCREEN.

    OK..here we go again.So many I do love but a few (Ha! only a few!!!who am I tryin' to kid here!) of them are CSI Series,Criminal Minds,"24", Desperate Housewives,Grey's Antonomy,Now,Bill Moyer Journal (sooo glad to have you back, Bill!)Frontline, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,COUNTDOWN with Keith Olbermann (he's the BEST!) Jack Cafferty of The Cafferty File (says it like it is! You rock,Jack!Check out his new book appropriately called "It's Getting Ugly Out There"), PROJECT RUNWAY ROCKS.Ohh.. and how could I forget The Young and The Restless???(I have watched that for almost 30 years. You think Iam gonna give it up now??? NOT!)
    Oldies?? I love re-runs of Coach, and The Honeymooners..LOL, but sadly,I cant find any right now on cable TV.
    Some other shows that I really like are Private Practice, Brothers and Sisters, Boston Legal (whichI will miss immensely come next fall), House, Medium,(which will air next year on CBS instead of NBC, if you're a fan such as I) and I simply ADORE the new show "Men In Trees", Which is MY BEST PICK FOR 2006 and way into 2008 for sure!!!(I sooo want to be there..but now, ABC has cancelled it, and I wonder where ABC's CEO's heads are. Such a great fun show. I will truly miss this one!) Ohhh and surely can't forget HGTV, where my "dream team" is awaitin' to paint and totally renovate my house ON A DIME (yeah,right.LIKE, THAT'S GONNA HAPPEN))And you have not LIVED until you have watched Family Jewels, and every "Flip House","Flip My House".."Flip Your House".."Flip Everyone's House" that is allowed on TV. Will I ever get away from the TV set?? Man..I hope so!)

    Some political books and crime novels like ones written by Patricia Cornwell and John Kellerman and biographies.
    Inspirational writings like "Lucky Man" by Michael J Fox,that is GREAT.I have not read his new book called "Always Looking UP" yet, but plan to once I get all the books I have collected finished reading. Another great book is "The Shadow Catcher" by Marianne Wiggins,which is kind of a non-fiction/fiction novel about the life of E.S. Curtis,and we all know how I do love him!. I am not that interested in "self-help" books, but I do love "The Secret"..audio version.. and "A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle, but I mostly read about other ppl's challenges, for I have a few of my own,and I get alot of inspiration in reading about their successes.
    Poetry is my next love,and have a very special place in my heart for poems written by James Kavanaugh. (IF YOU CHECK OUT MY BLOG, YOU CAN FIND ONE OF HIS SHORT POEMS THERE. IT'S THE BLOG CALLED "TO"...)

BABY BOOMERS RULE HERE!!! That's what I'm talkin' about!Plus, my fabulous kids think it's THE BOMB,so whatever they want.. they get! Soooooo... to begin with,I was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin, and moved to Phoenix,Arizona in 1968 and have lived here ever since. About 19 years ago,I was diagnosed with a neurological disorder called Cervical-Cranial-Oromandibular-Dystonia, AKA... Spasmotic Torticollis..AKA Segmental Dystonia..AKA..Meige's Syndrome.(Take your pick! HA!)Anyway,Google it,(either Dystonia or Torticollis or Meige's Syndrome) and read up on it! Awareness is the name of the game here! Sure can't say dystonia is a walk in the park, but I have learned to live with it the best I can.
Like I said, dispite my movement disorder,I feel truly lucky, for I have been blessed with a wonderful daughter who has given me three fabulous grandchildren,(who all moved to Pennsylvania the summer of 2007,and I miss them with all my heart :-( ), and a wonderful step daughter who has given me three fab grandchildren,too,and 5 GREAT grandchildren.They sure keep me going. And last but not least, my truly wonderful twin brother,Peter, and two sisters,Lyn and Lee, for without their undying encouragement and support to keep goin',I don't know what I would do. KUDOS TO ALL OF YOU! I LOVE YOU ALL!

Who I would love to meet??I guess Bill Clinton has always hit the top of my list, but Barack Obama now stands tall to me! But on a more realistic level,I'm pretty open to meeting all ppl, as long as they are honest and caring and compassionate individuals, (and can type better than I can on this computer.) Iam totally LIBERAL, so that explains why Fox (FIXED) News isn't even in my vocabulary. As I see it,GWB had been the most embarrassing President this country has ever known, and his legacy will go down as saying this,(along with his library,which will take him about a nano second to put together...I say saracastically) along with him being a TOTAL disgrace to our nation, and to the world.THE CHANGE IS HERE,and it will stand to prove to bring us all united like we have never been before.This new adminsitration will prove itsself to be right, hopeful,and full of integrity. What the Bush Administration has done,will take us years and years to unravel, but it CAN be done.Anyway,that's my story,and Iam stickin' to it.
But,I'm really not here to get on a soapbox politically.(Ok..ok..Maybe just a tiny bit political... Sometimes I just can't help myself). I'm mostly here for my kids, and the great friends I have kept over the years,and the ones I have met on MySpace.. and to bring more awareness to this movement disorder called DYSTONIA, that afflicks as many as 300,000 people (if not more...with many people going diagnosed inaccurately)in the United States alone, making it the third most common movement disorder behind essential tremor and Parkinson’s disease. And a special note to all my new friends thru the dystonia network here on Myspace and Facebook,I gotta tell ya, U R ALL MY HEROES,BAR NONE, AND THE MOST COURAGEOUS!!

    Penny, it was exceptionally moving since my Dad was a Pearl Harbor survivor.  While touring there I tried to imagine how it must have been for him. He was also on the USS Missouri battleship when the Japanese signed the surrender and WWII ended.

    Yes! Both of our dogs are border collie mix. They are Border Collie, Shepard  (one german one austrailian) & Heeler. This one is just a year old. Our other one is 2.5 yrs old. They both have personalities but they are very different. We love them both very much. With our three kids and my dystonia they don't get as much attention as I feel they deserve and  yet they are still so loving in return. We've been able to take them on 3 good outings this spring. They really deserved them too.
