About me:
I don't think I am that much different from many women that you know. I am a single mom with an 8 year old daughter (and a dog, two dwarf hamsters and a beta fish). I have lived in the same town for all of my life, but all of that is about to change as we are moving in about two days...EVERYONE tells me that I will be back, everyone tells me that I am not going to like it. I read a lot on the internet about how people from the North go there and say things like "How come you don't have THIS and Why don't you have THAT..." and to be honest all I kept saying is...no, we don't have THIS (signs that say beware of snakes and alligators) and school yards with grass...and so many trees...and grits (which I still have not eaten). I have thought enough about not going and while the thought of NOT going seems easy, the thought of spending the rest of my life wondering what the rest of my life might have been like and the thought of dying in the same town that I grew up in are what I use to drive myself to go. I wish I had a reason to stay, and hopefully when I get where I am going I do not find myself saying the same thing all over again.
I work in aviation and am not a flight attendant, pilot, reservations agent, or any of that nonsense. My background is in aircraft maintenance and I am rather fortunate because I do things that not a lot of people care to do...I also tend to be handy with tools so I don't have to depend on other people to do a lot of things for me...however, I still refuse to change the oil on my vehicle.
