.. .. .. .. .. Welcome to the MySpace home of the Riptide! Formerly known as the Power, we're transitioning to a new name - new look - new league!! Keep checking in as we make the changes. This is real football - no powder puff here! We're a group of women from every walk of life who come together with a team of dedicated coaches to play a sport most of us never dreamed of being able to play - the game of gridiron football. Every time we put on our gear and step on the field we grow just a little bit stronger - mentally and physically. Our coaches don't see us a a bunch of girls playing a man's sport - they see us as football players. They see athletes willing to learn and work hard. Is this a great country or what!Hey friends - we need more players to fill out our 2009 roster - games start in April. Don't hesitate! If you have ever wanted to try football here's your chance! Practice Mon & Wed 7:30pm. All levels welcome - experience not necessary just a willingness to learn and be part of a team! Where: Football field @ John R. brave young woman who was murdered in Iran
just for peacefully protesting with her father
on the streets of Teheran.
Her Name was Neda - please remember her.
