Pentagonik was founded in Berlin in 2005 as a platform for electronic music and events. Pentagonik consists of two branches dedicated to releasing high-quality electronic music.
Following many successful releases on the Pentagonik netlabel - available online at www.pentagonik.de under creative commons licensing - the group founded the new Pentagonik Digital Label in 2008, bringing the label's music to the major digital distribution platforms. Pentagonik's artists span a broad range of styles and influences, from minimal to techhouse and beyond.
Regular events have included the Pentagonik series at Watergate (Berlin) and collaborations with various event agencies throughout Berlin. Currently, the Pentagonik series is enjoying a successful run at the Arena Club in Berlin.

demir & seymen: strömungsfeld [pntgd004]out now !
With their Stroemungsfeld EP Demir and Seymen beguile with a sparkling minimal-house trip straight to a desert of heat-stroke inducing tunes. Rising Sun’s minimalistic, crisp and mesmerizing arrangement creates space for the funky and glimmering house hook which spreads its rays over the track like the desert sun announces the first hours of a new day. Phunklarique’s Sun Bath remix strips the track down to its core, adding light and glittering interferences and an even funkier dry-as-bone sub. Trampoline brings it back down to round out the evening with its chillier and more haunting side.
Ludwig Coenen: Wildpark [pntgd003]
Ludwig Coenen busts open the lock with his sharp-cut under-watery yet somehow so fresh and so clean funk style, delivering two techno tracks with leads mean enough to keep the discoid sharks at bay but just fevered enough to stir up a little funk flotsam. The crisp, straight rhythms, suspended stabs and ever so subtle breathiness make for a spacious and airtight EP.
Larsson: Stadtwind [pntgd002]
The hunt continues in the sultry urban summer. In Larsson’s Stadtwind, apparitional dispatches from mysterious worlds mingle with urban sounds. Full of pulsing, sensual power, “Ingwa” carries the promise of musical seduction out into the night’s clubs and bars to fill the sleepless dancers with dreams. Driven by a warm and full bass, minimal arrangements testify to the unbridled lightness of a free spirit.
The next track, “Sinus702k1” leads the listener behind the reaches of time on weightless waves. Between morning and night, dream and reality, swirling, rotating, dancing, Stadtwind carries us to ever new musical spheres. Driving rhythms hound reason while longing abstractions from the velvety, calm depths of the heart surface. Only then are we able to decipher Larsson’s intimate message.
Demir & Seymen: Treibjagd [pntgd001]
Following their latest releases on Highgrade Digital label co-founder Demir and his partner Seymen kick things off for the new Pentagonik Digital Label.
Every good hunt is based on clear and precise organization; with this basis, Demir and Seymen have instigated a roundup replete with itinerant hypnotic energy, while Tigerskin situates his hunt in the forests and caves of a past era; signals from the distance lead the way through the fog.

Grau: Betty Loop EP [pntg024]
The founder of Miniatura Records, Argentina-based artist Grau, has come out with his Betty Loop EP for release no. 24 on the pentagonik netlabel. Minimal techno in its very classic style, the EP has straigt-forward, to-the-point dry beat arrangements, which lay the groundwork for his noisy reverbarated rythmic textures. A much needed daily dose.
Enzo & Topper: Black Rabbit [pntg023]
For it's 23rd release Pentagonik is proud to welcome Enzo & Topper with their Black Rabbit EP. The EP consists of five dark, minimal edgy tracks, with distant mumbling emerging from the hazy background, deep stabs, quaking bass lines and cutting atmospheres. With a variety of diverse influences, somewhere between twisted minimal sound aesthetics and Steve Roach’s dark ambient soundscapes, their first EP delivers an impressive start.
