This page is designed for people with a special interest in helping animal groups in China. Cordiality is a must as we strive to use this group as a helping hand, not as a confrontational battleground.
People4Chinese Animals is a growing group of individuals worldwide, united online to support compassionate, animal caring citizens in China. As humane consciousness rises among Chinese citizens, we work to bring them together for the betterment of animal lives in China.
Dedicated individuals who are trying to improve the conditions of the defenseless face rather overwhelming challenges, thus this group intends to contribute with their efforts so as to bring out the love and care that the defenseless so desperately need.
Here we will be brainstorming on how to promote animal awareness in China, as well as advocating for them in that country. We will engage on fund-raising to help the existing groups we work with in China to encourage their expansion, and help promote anti-animal cruelty. Postings are restricted to related issues, and all members are expected to participate in the discussions, and/or assignments.

May I present Lori Anderson, the Lady of Honor of the first (of 50) Funeral Motorcade for the Animals in my 37-states-in-7-months Compassion for Animals Road Expedition (CARE-7). Lori is a well known and long time animal rights activist in the Vancouver area. This first motorcade will be on March 31 - my departure date on the CARE-7 tour. It will start in Downtown Vancouver at 11:30 a.m., and will send me off at the U.S./Canadian border by about 2:30 p.m., thus kick-starting the CARE-7 tour whose purpose is to forge and launch the Global Anti-Hunting Coalition (GAHC).
We still need many more Ladies of Honor for the 50 motorcades, who will uphold similar signs in the back seat of my motorcycle which will lead the motorcades. The schedule of the 50 motorcades is in my profile www. myspace. com/AnthonyMarr. If interested, please contact me directly. Thank you!

In 1600, after 8 years of repeated torture, Giordano Bruno was burnt alive at the stake - for his teaching that the Earth was not fixed at the center of the universe with everything revolving around it, including even the sun; and that the stars were not pin-holes in some sky-vault through which heavenly light shone, but are themselves distant suns around which other planets may revolve. He could have saved himself by recanting, but he steadfastly refused. He basically allowed himself to be burnt - for truth.
During the Vietnam war:
Buddhist monks regularly burned themselves alive - without even a whimper. They gave their lives for peace.
And now, on January 27, Wednesday, 26-year-old Daniel Shaull burnt himself at the Ungar fur store in Portland, Oregon - out of compassion. His last words were: "THE ANIMALS ARE DYING! ANIMALS DYING!" And in empathy, he died with them. No one knows who Daniel Shaull is, so let him personify the self-sacrificial spirit of our movement. We must not let these supreme sacrifices go unlauded. We cannot let these real superheroes die in vain!
Global warming deniers deny global warming, the climate change crisis and its human cause. I have 3 simple questions for them:
1.The Moon's night temperature is -153C; Mars, -142C; Earth's was +3C here last night. Why?
2.Would physicists, chemists and astronomers say that more greenhouse gasses (GHGs) in the atomsphere will trap more heat from the sun?
3.The CO2 concentration in 1880 was 285 ppm; now, it is 387 ppm. Where did the extra 102 ppm come from?
To #1: Mar's is farther from the Sun than the Moon but is warmer because it has an atmosphere with GHGs while the Moon has none. Earth has a much thicker atmosphere than Mars', with even more GHGs. In fact, without global warming, the deniers wouldn't exist.
At the 2008 Animal Rights Conference in DC, my dear friend Charlotte Templeton (MS – Tigerlilly) helped me give away 1,000 copies of my then new (2nd) book [Homo Sapiens! SAVE YOUR EARTH].
I would not give away the books in the street - at $22 list price, the retail total was $22,000 - but the conference was filled with the best of humanity, all ahead of their time. The raising of awareness and action in this audience was immeasurable, and the planet Earth herself is priceless.

2 eggs in a pot of ice water on a stove set on slow heat. Question: When will the eggs begin to feel the heat? Answer: After all the ice cubes have melted off. For as long as there is ice left to melt, the infused heat will go to melting the ice first, not in raising the temperature.
Now imagine the Arctic Ocean as the pot of ice-water. The Big Heat won't come on until all the sea ice have melted in the summer, as early as 2013, then, watch out!
Worse, the Big Heat will accelerate the melting of the permafrost and the sea floor methane hydrate deposits, releasing gaseous methane by the billions of tons into the atmosphere, thus kick-starting the dreaded Runaway Global Heating.

Despite there being a ban on commercial whaling, Right now the Japanese whaling fleet are in the southern ocean whale sanctuary, where they plan on slaughtering 935 minke and 50 endangered fin whales, Goverments of the world are not doing enough if anything to stop this, I urge people to boycott Japan and please sign petitions and write to Japanese embassies around the world to put pressure on the Japanese Govt, as well as your own govt. Whaling is totally unnecessary, barbaric and cruel, whaling needs to end today!!

Not fast enough to elude the cop unfortunately, but I've got a much faster bike now. :D
Of course that mini-Harley (not mine really) barely sips gas, but even my Kawasaki Ninja ZZR, capable of 175 kph and 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds, gives 80+ mpg hwy. This is about as green a personal vehicle as one can find capable of long distance travel, short of a full electric vehicle with a range of 250 miles per charge like the Tesla. But then, the Tesla costs $100,000, whereas the Ninja cost me barely $3000 with only 2,000 mi. on the odometer. And even if I had a full electric vehicle, as long as the electricity comes from coal, it's just like burning gas. By the way, the Ninja 250 is so popular with women it has the nickname of "Ninjette" (see www.Ninjette.org).
Regardless of gender, I strongly advise you to try out motorcycling as a means of transportation. Of course, the rider should be vegetarian if not vegan, to cut methane emissions from the animal industries. A vegan driving a Hummer emits less greenhouse gasses than a meat-eater riding a bicycle! Besides, short of flying, motorcycling is about as much fun as fun can get!
Urban deer massacre ("culling"), combined with unadulterated fun-killing (bow-hunting), is a national disgrace. Through my last 6 Compassion for Animals Road Expeditions (CARE-1 - CARE-6, 2003-2008, each covering 25-42 states over 3-7 months), I have worked with activists in no less than 25 states whose by-and-large pro-culling and pro-hunting officials discharge their "deer management" duties by means of bullets and arrows.
The current hottest battle in the "Deer War" is at the Shawnee Mission Park, Kansas City, which local activists have dubbed "Death Park". There were supposedly some 575 deer living in the 3.7 sq.mi. urban park. Local officials estimate the maximum deer population density to be 50 per sq.mi., which produces the maximum allowable total number of 185 in the park. Up to December 9, 313 deer had been culled by "Dr. Death" Anthony DeNicola. This yields a remaining population of about 260, about 75 higher than the limit of 185, and 75 is about what the Park Board has allocated to the bow-hunters, 15 of whom have been granted permits to do the dirty deed, with pleasure of course...
Recently, the Northern Territory government announced plans to kill 3000 camels by means of aerial shooting in the township of Docker River. Thirsty and in search of water, the camels converged on the community of Docker River. Instead of assisting the community by building barriers to keep the camels out of the township and investing in long term solutions such as research into birth control or the construction of a manmade waterhole for the camels to drink from, the government are planning to herd the animals away from the town, shoot them and leave their bodies to rot. Despite the outrage of thousands of concerned people from around the world, the Northern Territory government has given the green light for the cull to go ahead and thousands of scared camels are now being annihilated by marksmen from helicopters.
THE MIRACLE WORKER: for those who feel meaningless, powerless and worthless
Legend has it that in the Snows of Kilimanjaro, the carcass of a plains leopard was found; no one knows what the leopard was up there to seek. But when I ascended the great mountain, I knew, for I was there to seek the very same thing.
At pain of extra weight, I packed a gun, not that there anything to hunt up on that altitude, nor was I a hunter in any sense of the word. And in an ice cave amidst the cravasses of the glacier, when the setting sun suffused my chosen tomb with a rosey glow, I shed my last tear on the shoulder of no one who cared, said my final farewell to the cruel and meaningless world, and pointed the gun at my head...
