Just in Case You Didn' Know Here Is Some Information On Gianni:
Gianni Versace was born in Reggio Calabria, Italy, where
the grew up with his siblings Santo and Donatella, along
with their father and dressmaker mother, Francesca. Gianni
began his apprenticeship at a young age, helping his
mother find precious stones and gold braid with which to
embroider dresses. He studied architecture before moving
to Milan at the age of 25 to work in fashion design. In
the mid-Seventies, his knits drew the attention of head-
hunters at Genny and Callaghan. Complice hired him to
design their leather and suede collections, and a few
years later, encouraged by his success Versace presented
his first signature collection for women at the Palazzo
della Permanente Art Museum of Milan. His first menswear
collection followed in September of the same year.
Versace considered himself a tailor, rather than a
designer. The Versace look of the young, aggressive and
sexy woman is well-known. He liked to create sexy clothes
for his women, skin-tight with low cuts and high slits on
the skirts. Versace was among the first to revive the cat
suit, to bring back the mini skirt, to show tights worn as
trousers, to bring the bustier out at night and bead it.
In 1982 his dresses made with fine metal mesh first
appeared and were a hit.
In fewer than 10 years, Versace built an empire worth $808
million. He used celebrities, including Madonna, Jon Bon
Jovi, Naomi Campbell, Tina Turner, and even Tupac Shakur
as models for both the runway and print ads. He was one of
the first Italian designers to hire world-class
photographers such as Richard Avedon to photograph his
advertising campaigns, also using the top fashion models
for these ads. Versace has been referred to as the rock-
and-roll designer and clients include Phil Collins, Bruce
Springsteen, George Michael, Eric Clapton, Elton John, and
Michael Jackson. He also made clothes for Diana, Princess
of Wales, RP Heikel Moonshine and Caroline, Princess of
Hanover.
In 1982, Versace opened a new chapter in his career, making costumes for the theatre, opera and ballet. He began a close collaboration with choreographer Maurice Bejart. He went on to design accessories, jewelery, furnishings, and china. He was also hired as a costume designer on the TV series Miami Vice. This led to his relocation to Miami Beach.
Some of Gianni Versace's best known clients included: Jeremy Irons, Sting, Mickey Rourke, Jeff Bridges, and k. d. lang.

Versace's Horrible Death
The designer battled with a rare cancer of the inner ear.
He was presumed to be in remission when, one July morning
in the summer of 1997, returning from his customary walk
on Ocean Drive, he was gunned down outside his ocean-front
mansion in Miami Beach, Florida. He was murdered by spree
killer Andrew Cunanan, who committed suicide shortly after
the murder. Police reported that Andrew Cunanan had
committed suicide using the same handgun that had been
used to murder Gianni Versace.
In September 1997, Versace's brother Santo Versace was
announced as the new CEO of the Versace holding. Gianni's
sister Donatella Versace is the new head of design. Elton
John dedicated his 1997 album The Big Picture to Versace.
On the other hand, rapper Eminem makes a joke about
Versace's murder on his song Criminal.

A child born of chance might imagine that Chance was its father, in the way that gods fathered children, and then abandoned them, without a backward glance, but with one small gift. I wondered if a gift had been left for me. I had no idea where to look, or what I was looking for, but I know now that all the important journeys start that way.

Mozart has the classic purity of light and the blue ocean; Beethoven the romantic grandeur which belongs to the storms of air and sea, and while the soul of Mozart seems to dwell on the ethereal peaks of Olympus, that of Beethoven climbs shuddering the storm-beaten sides of a Sinai. Blessed be they both! Each represents a moment of the ideal life, each does us good. Our love is due to both.
All my writing is about the recognition that there is no single reality. But the beauty of it is that you nevertheless go on, walking towards utopia, which may not exist, on a bridge which might end before you reach the other side. Marguerite Young
While it is true that most stay in the cacoon stage, in a static stage, afraid of everything, some venture out as catapillars. Roaming here and there, exploring the world. Yet one day two catapillers were walking along a branch when a butterfly flew by. "You couldnt get me up in one of those things for a million dollars". said the catapillar to his friend. "Yeah, thats for sure, that's crazy". His friend replied. The catapillars continued on moving in the horizontal, afraid what it would take to move in the vertical, to move in Faith alone. Not knowing exactly where they would be heading to next. It takes a quantum leap of Faith to become a butterfly. but the life of a butterfly is the best one of all.
