Taking over the world, forming a Publix Union, and fighting the Man.
Reasons why Publix Sucks
1. Managers who make you work from 6PM to 2AM when you have a meeting at 6AM the next morning.
2. Blocking
3. Snotty front-end coordinators
4. Customers
5. Closing
6. Always having to pick up the slack for the lazy drunk ass stock clerks
7. The whole "Team" concept. If Publix was really a team, the baggers and part-time stock clerks would help out the cashiers once in a while.
8. Lazy minors.
9. Managers who work you to death so they can get a promotion.
10. The underhanded benefits package
11. Old people who shop there and stay for like an hour after we're closed.
12. They still don't have a Union
13. How could I forget the lousy pay?
14. Never getting to use the restroom during my shift
15. Having to work for 6 hours straight, then finally getting a break, and then working 4 more hours ever single Saturday
16. Always getting blamed for other people's laziness
17. Never getting evaluated on time
18. Never getting the raise I deserve
19. Not being able to chew gum
20. Having to hear a different rumor about yourself every week
21. The new "late" policy
22. The lame dress code
23. Never having enough people work
24. Never having enough people close
25. Tokens. If you have ever seen one, you are probably a manager, or you kiss a lot of butt. They aren't worth the plastic they are printed on
26. They make you push a certain charity every month, which makes employees feel worse, as well as customers who don't want to donate for the 10th time this week
27. Their sub bread is harder than a rock
28. If you work at Publix, you won't have enough money to shop there
29. Publix managers think they own you
30. Nobody know what they are doing, even managers

There hasn't been that much to update anyways, since I have been away from Publix for a while now, but recently, I have gotten some contacts from the warehouse, so although it's not from a store, I will be giving you new information/comspiracies/and more ways Publix is trying to take your money at the warehouses.
ABOUT THE PEOPLE PERSECUTING PUBLIX
Welcome to the official website of the People Persecuting Publix. The PPP was started on March 11, 2004 by 3 overworked Publix cashiers. Since that time, many Publix employees (current and former) have joined the PPP, making it what it is today. We also have many customers and people who have never worked at Publix who have joined the PPP and supported us. The PPP exists to expose the evil business practices of Publix, like
1. Unfair pay to non-managers 2. Not enough full-time positions 3. Managers who act like slave-drivers
and
4. Unsafe working tools/conditions
These are just some of the things that all of us at the PPP have experienced. We suggest you read some of our BLOGS for more detailed stories of the previously mentioned topics. If you are interested in joining the PPP, just add us as a friend, and we'll sign you up. If you have anny questions, comments, ideas, or suggestions, just send us an e-mail, and we will help you in any way we can. This site is updated approximately once every month or two and we appreciate your patience in waiting for updated. If you have any articles/material you have written which you think would be good to put on the PPP's page, feel free to submit it to us though e-mail. We will make sure you get credit for it (or not) if you wish. We are always looking for ways to better the PPP, and many of those ideas come from your, our audience, so feel free to voice your ideas! Thank you for all of your loyal support.
DISCLAIMER: Please don't take any offense to anything on here by me or others. We do not intend to hurt or do anything crazy. The is just a place for people who have had bad experiences with Publix to vent their frustration. Again, WE DO NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR OTHER PEOPLE BEING IDIOTS.

THINGS YOU CAN DO TO SUPPORT/HELP THE PPP
1. Spread the word to fellow co-workers
2. Anytime you are in Publix, pull a prank. Let them know that the PPP is around to be a pain in Publix's butt. Click Here to see a list of pranks you could pull on Publix.
3. Anytime you have a chance, just write "PPP" somewhere. It could be in a bathroom stall, a random picnic table, or a wall somewhere, but by doing so, people will begin to wonder what the PPP is, thus making the legend even greater.
4. Support the UFCW (United Food and Commercial Workers).
The UFCW is the Union for most grocery stores that have Unions. At least 4 major grocery chains that I know of (Albertsons Bruno's, Food World and Wegmans) have Unions. Visit their official website and their benefits page to find out more info.
5. Support Publix's fellow competitors. By doing so, you take money away from Publix and decrease Publix's profit. You can find links to some their competitors websites here.
7. Give our link to others. A lot of people find this site by accident. Others find it by doing a search. Still, others have been given our link by others, and find out about the PPP. Hundreds of people find out about this site from others who have passed along our link. It's not hard to remember (www.myspace.com/peoplepersecutingpublix). If you can remember what the PPP stands for, you can remember the link. Feel free to post it on messageboards/other websites/wherever you feel it would attract attention.
Thanks for helping to spread the PPP mission!!!

* We also have a PPP Hall of Fame section. Hall of Famers are chosen based on their dedication/commitment to the PPP. They are elected every couple of months or so. 3 NEW MEMBERS ELECTED ON: MAY 2, 2009 VIEW PAGE 1 VIEW PAGE 2
To any of you who work at Publix or are thinking about applying, some of my agents have informed me that people in corporate will search your name to see if you have a MySpace page and try to find information about you and your personality/lifestyle. This may just be a rumor, but with Publix, who knows? My advice: Don't put anything dumb up on your profile. I know it's probably an invasion of your privacy, but Publix will do anything to try to get you canned.
I see alot of Teamster Union displays! Thats encouraging. How many of you are for better wages and a better lifestyle? I just made a new group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Unionizepublix Hopefully, this will be a tool in uniting everyone who wants a better wage and benefits, as well. All are welcome. I am making the year 2009 the year a UNION came to PUBLIX.
wow wat can I say...I'll be with publix 2 years in September and still a damn bagger...plus they got me closin every dam nite to run the machines...its sad I say.
