Pepe Hernandez Born in Acapulco, México Bass player, composer, arranger, producer… Groove Man! Belonging to a family of musicians, Pepe begins his formal musical studies in The Conservatorio de Música y Declamación de Puebla, Conservatorio Nacional de Música & la Escuela Libre de Música José F. Vázquez. Later on he became part of the Drummers Collective in NY where he studied acoustic bass with Lev Zagevinsky & composition with Rick Laird. As a solo artista has performed with important orchestras such as Sociedad Filarmónica de Conciertos, OFUNAM, Orquesta del Festival Latino de Nueva York, Orquesta Sinfónica de la ciudad de México among others. As a touring musician he has performed in every major venue in Latin america, USA, China and Japan such as: Madison Square Garden, The Universal Ampitheather, The greek Theather, Lincon Center, Radio City Music hall, The John Hancock Center, Estadio Azteca, Auditorio Nacional, to name a few. Shared stage with performers like: Luis Miguel, Jose Jose, Emmanuel, Vicki Carr, Alejandro Fernández, Benny, Francisco Céspedes, David Bisbal, Diego Torres, El Cigala, Eugenia Leon, Kalimba, Pandora, Susana Zabaleta, Flans, Guadalupe Pineda, Tania Libertad, Armando Manzanero, Reyli, Shaila Durcal, Malu, Bertin Osborne among others. In the jazz scene he has collaborated with geat musicians such as: Makoto Ozone, Tom Coster, Bob Florence, Lenny Andrade, Abraham Laboriel, Alex Acuña, Sheila E, Enrique Nery, Danilo Perez, The Charlie Hynes Jazz Quintet, Tenoch, Elizabeth Meza, Wet Paint, Popo Sánchez, Armando Noriega, Miguel Salas, Chris Lobo, Victor Patrón among others. As a producer and session musician has recorded more than 4000 records His 3rd solo album "Bajo Mundo" has consolidated his career in the music scene.
