  • General

    I knit, knit, & knit. I also crochet, needlepoint, cross stitch & embroider. My on-line store to purchase my lovely knitted & crocheted items is http://blueberryhill.artsefest.com. I love to read, but can't read & knit, so I listen to lots of audio books. I also play poker every night with my dear friends at the "Lions Den".(Sierra games)

    I love all music. All, that is except stuff you can't humm or sing along. Country, Blues, Jazz, Boston Pops, Il Divo, Sinatra, & of course, all the "oldies"

  • Movies

    I"m not much of a movie person. A romantic comedy might catch my interest on a Sunday afternoon. Usually I can't stay still long enough to get to the end.

    American Idol, Grey's Anatomy are my regulars right now. I am also a news junkie with Fox News on most of the time.

  • Books

    For light reading - Danielle Steele. I like mostly non-fiction & life stories. My favorite - "Travels with Charlie" by John Steinbeck

    My husband Bill who at the tender age of 16 was fighting in the South Pacific - WWII (the big one) He was smart, loving, fun & a great man. Also, my son & daughter who live life with spirit & a promise that the future of mankind will be good.

About me:

I am the widow of a USMC lifer. I have a son, daughter and 3 step daughters. I am very proud of all 5. I have two grand daughters that are the light of my life, and a great grandson who I adore. I live here in New York State near where I grew up (Lake George area). I lived in So. California for almost 30 years, before moving back here to NY. My very best friend from California is now my neighbor here in New York & we have a ball getting into trouble together in our old age, just as we did 30 years ago. Our husbands were also best friends, and they died in the same year (1984). We have been through a lot together. ..

Who I'd like to meet:

Any & all Major League Baseball Players, Elizabeth Taylor, Jean Kirkpatrick-(she should hae been President of the United States), Charles Osgood, Sheperd Smith, and Simon Cowell. Someday I would like to sit down with Christiane Amanpour & just talk. She is a most interesting person & has done some awsome things
