The band formed in late 2005, when four girls decided to create a band. Anja (Vocals), Katja(Bass), and Tajana (Drums, Backing vocals) and their former guitarist Taja performed as a quartet in the start. In june 2006 Nives joined on the solo guitar, a year later Ilona replaced Taja on the rythm guitar.
Forming an all-girl band actually wasn't their goal. Such cast was just a coincidence. After some time they thought that a male member isn't in the context any more, so they continued working in an all-female line-up.
The girls were already working in music before they started the band. The drummer Tajana studied the piano and percussion at the music school in Maribor, now she's studying both at the grammar music school in Maribor. Katja switched to bass guitar after six years of piano instructions, Anja collaborates in musicals at the EST (English Student Theatre). Nives and Ilona are both learning playing the guitar for several years.
The inspiration for the name came from a road sign witch advertised chewing gums. All of the members liked the idea (but the name was also partially chosen because of the link with their biggest inspiration – the Red Hot Chili Peppers). The girls play a mixture of rock and new age punk – rock. Their repertoire contains a lot of their own songs and also some covers from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Clash, Beatsteaks, Green Day etc.
Their goal is to spread their music and to approach it to the people. Despite their young age (16-17 years) they give a lot of performances all around Slovenia. Their main influence are the Red Hot Chili Peppers, they also follow their motto: »We make people Feel Good«.
PREMIERA VIDEOSPOTA »LETS WENT« IN PROMOCIJA PLOŠČE »VACUUM«

V četrtek, 16. aprila 2009 bo zasedba StrojMachine ob 21.00 v ljubljanski Cvetličarni izvedla spektakularno promocijo plošče »Vacuum« in premierno predstavila videospot njihove uspešnice »Lets Went«. Po lanskoletni seriji spektaklov v Latviji, Estoniji, Belgiji, Črni Gori in doma bodo tokrat člani kolektiva StrojMachine zabrisali meje med občinstvom in njimi tako, da bodo prostor v Cvetličarni skupaj z gosti spremenili v slikarsko ploskev, integrirano svetlobno vizualno projekcijo in konstrukcijo z odsluženimi instrumenti, s katerimi so in bodo izvabljali hipnotične prvinske ritme in melodije. Izvajalci pravijo: »Iz Praznega prostora, iz katerega smo štartali, se je rodil novi zvok, StrojMachine. « Posebna prostorska in avdio instalacija bosta spremenili prizorišče v pravo »postindustrijsko« talilnico obogatenega zvoka!
ReKonstrukcija Cvetličarne za potrebe njihovega nastopa bo plod enajstletnih izkušenj, ki so jih nabrali doma in po svetu, ko so kot pleme The Stroj uživali v organiziranem hrupu in transformacijah različnih megalomanskih objektov v spektakularne svetlobne in zvočne inštalacije.
