PEPPERMINT IGUANA is based in South Wales (UK) and has been around in one form or another since 1995. It is a Zine covering music, politics, and anything that interests us. We run a website www.peppermintiguana.co.uk/ and we put out old-fashioned paper fanzines occasionally (usually one a year to coincide with the festival season). Please feel free to send us stuff for review, send a message to get the adress off us.
THE BOOK: Our main project at the moment is a book. We are currently carrying out research and interviewing people for a book on the DIY music scene. We are looking at what is wrong with the music industry, why people choose to function outside of it and how they function perfectly will without the backing of major labels. We will be including things like zines, promoters, soundsystems, small lables etc. If you feel you have something you desperately want to say, or if you have any good anecdotes, please mail us and let us know. We are still trying to keep the website and zine going at the same time, but juggling everything (and a full time job) is not easy.
We used to put on gigs, and we might do in the future, if we feel like it… that’s the whole point, it’s a labour of love. Past gigs have included Tofu Love Frogs, P.A.I.N., Inner Terrestrials, Citizen Fish, Headmix, Tarantism, Dubmerge, The Top Cats, Astralaisa, New Model Army, John Otway, Terrorist Ballet Dancers From Hell, Captain Paranoid and the Delusions, Man, Spanner, This System Kills and many more.
What sort of music do we like? … Pretty varied really, lots of underground festy type stuff and anything else that takes our fancy, from chilled out vibes to full on sonic attack. The Zine tends to concentrate on the more obscure stuff… there would be no point trying to replicate the mainstream media, even if we wanted too!. Check out the website, you will soon get the drift. http://www.peppermintiguana.co.uk/

"Exciting, Striding and assured. It has an energy reminiscant of everything that was good about the Klaxons debut album.." - BBC Radio Bristol.

So glad you liked it. Its funny, cos im not even sure if the album is going to be called that... its just one of the ideas that somebody heard and said that that was it...
...maybe we should stick with it? But no really, so nice to hear some feedback, after all, not many have even heard it yet...
Nice video, would almost be funny if you'd never heard of Jon Toshak, do you remember him? He's the former Cardiff City player who took the Swans to runners up spot in the old division 1, but then Cardiff supporters don't remember the old division 1 do they? No the only way Cardiff could get into division 1 was for the league to be reorganised so that division 1 was effectivley the 3rd division. And where are they now? The Coca Cola Championship, a league in a forgine country named after a soft drink.
Maybe they should sign Herman Hess as thier youth coach?
