    PEQUOD...formed in early 1998 in Munich, Germany. The band name origins from the ship of Captain Ahab who is the tragical hero in Herman Melvilles' Moby Dick. The sound is influenced by the individual band members who derive from different metal styles which ensures a highly explosive mixture of aggressive sound. After some lineup changes, the arrangements evolved into powerful rhythm-oriented thrash-death metal loaded with sophisticated and none the less melodic riffing. Forceful and progressive drumming and the striking voice of the frontman put the finishing touch to this very creative band. During many gigs with established bands like Pro Pain, Napalm Death, Origin, Dismember, God Dethroned, Graveworm, Dew-Scented, Tankard, Darkest Hour, and Cephalic Carnage and others. Pequod convinced the metalheads with their professional performance and kicked ass. The five band members are known for their expressive stage acting despite the flawless and compact song writing. This is also reflected by positive live reviews.
