first of all, yes industrial as a genre is long dead but cherished in our memory doe the term is left and represent several genres but;
Why connect music with religion and personal exploration? i think the most of the industrial - mostly EBM fusions in my opinion- which connect there lyrics to anger and decay is the terms weakest link.
there is far to much mainstreaming music that represent such lyrics so why would a synthesizer make it more interesting?
doe it is bloody charming that they who produce the music, is often such opposites to there own art. Converter is a wonderful example, if I'd see him on stage with out knowing what enormous potential his music radiate i would think he played some kind of flute, and such people as folkstorm and suicide commando ain't better on the outside.
so one of the reasons why i like it is because it feels more reel with lesser clothing and wrong face expressions.
and the genre it self gives the artist allot more opportunities than the other terms such as Rock pop or hip hop, the term industrial is so enormously wide and therefore not so restricted by it's genres.

it's now i'v intrudesed my self in the rhythmic forms of noise and the sweeps of dark ambient and drone.. the heaviness of Death industrial, and the complexity of Technoid..
