Born under the zodiacal sign of Anubis, the host of the dead and guardian of knowledge, Clarance saw the sky for the first time (in this current body) on a rainy day of 1987.
Romantic child, more generalist than specialist, Clarance is experimenting the mysteries of hearts and romance with music, feather and ink, curious eyes and an elegant way of living. He considers life as a magnificent sphinx, an infinite enigma, with love as the only element of truth, the only guide to wakefulness.
His aim is to give to wisdom and frivolity a feeling of unity. Both of them, like the ying and the yang, are the perfect balance for the one who succeeds in juggling with these behaviours with a natural grace.
When he is focused on musical poetry, the process is most of the time, if not always, driven by melancholy and an irresistible love for the past. Past is for him a golden temple, and he considers that the one who dares to drown in a sea of memories is totally freed from his animal and primitive instinct. When you leave your hand in her hair, the memory of it is always more beautiful and brighter than the moment itself. Past is where love is, past is where truth breaths and lives.
The results are modest and frail odes to romance and childhood, full of naïve but true mysticism, gently built thanks to a shy piano, some virtual instruments, and some personal ambiant recordings.
A pen, a notebook and a portable recorder are his most cherished objects, as he keeps writing and recording the world he observes with an amused and sparkling eye and an attentive ear. Nor a leader, nor a follower, Clarance is an observer, preferring to live in the shadow than in the spotlight, in the softness than in the excess, in the quietness than in the orgy.
Novalis, that he considers as one of his most essential messiah, said : "The world must be romanticized. In this way one rediscovers the original meaning."
Here is Clarance's quest.
Re-inventing softness.
... And he needs you, and your hearts.

oui je sais ce que tu veux dire. Je pense que c'est bien morose pour bien d'entre nous ces jours-ci, moi y compris. Une petite envolée musicale est toujours une escapade vers une autre dimension plus inspirante.
