Mastodon, Neurosis, Isis, Tool, David Icke, Pink Floyd, Iain M Banks, Pelican, Red Sparowes, Down, Melvins, Timothy Leary, Breach, Mark Lanegan, Radiohead, Hawkwind, Kyuss, Capricorns, Burst, the Kraken and all of his friends.
Formed in September 2004 in North London, The Perceval Gage play some of the best post-metal you can hear anywhere.
Steve Rooney has left the Gage fold, but Dan Foord of Sikth has stepped into his shoes and is now stamping on the pedals and hitting the skins nice and hard in his place.
Costa has also taken a leave of absence, we’re not sure if he will return from his sojourn to Greece, but we wish the crusty scumbag all the best.
The new EP is available now by email, through Black Lithium Labs and at shows. There are only 500 copies and they are limited edition hand numbered digipacks, so grab your little piece of history. One day it’ll buy you a house.
Check out the blog for more information and details of the recording and gigs or send us a message.
The Perceval Gage EP (otherwise known as the Medusa EP) is available to download for free from last.fm along with other tracks. Add me as a friend on there too...
.
Here’s some of the stuff people have said about us:
"Interesting, cool and quirky" - Troy Sanders of MASTODON
"Immense" - Rock Sound Magazine
"Impressive performance, the best support band of the whole tour" - Patrick Hultin of BURST
.
The Gage are currently made up of John Williams from London (Johnny Gage, ex-TCM) on guitar, Jason Coppock from a higher astral plain (ex-Fister, The Toes) on the bass and Dan "Loord" Foord from London (SiKth) on the drums.
Vocal responsibilities are shared by Jason, John and Costa. A general rule of thumb for who is who would be John = clean singing parts, Costa = shouting/growling and Jason = unintelligible noise from somewhere behind you.
