    THE PERCS began in January 2006 as THE PERCOCETTES – a project that paired two female vocalists/guitarists with no musical experience with a veteran rhythm section. The goal was to create a great band despite their obvious shortcomings. That goal was quickly realized. .... Only one year after their debut show, they were chosen to open for RANCID at a sold out hometown show. .... They also performed on the VANS WARPED TOUR, and have opened for THE QUEERS, BIG D & THE KID'S TABLE, MURPHY'S LAW, THE CHOP TOPS, PINK LINCOLNS, ROGER MIRET & THE DISASTERS, and THE FRIGGS, to name a few. .... They finished recording the follow up to their debut single in 2009. They once again called upon Donnie Switchblade from The Boombox (THE QUEERS/THE EYELINERS/TEEN IDOLS) to sit at the controls. They hired Gene Grimaldi from Oasis Mastering (TIM ARMSTRONG / NOFX / TIGER ARMY) to master the record. .... In October 2009 after several line-up changes, the original front-woman, COLE DELLA-ZUCCA, left the band to pursue a career as a circus aerialist; leaving TOOTHLESS GEORGE as the only original member. .... As the band entered 2010 with seasoned musicians holding up all four corners, they have decided to shorten their name to THE PERCS. It is a means to separate their future from their past, while simultaneously acknowledging pride in their humble beginnings..... Upon relocating to San Diego, CA Toothless George once again began assembling a team of like-minded punk rock musicians to continue in the same fashion that brought them much acclaim on the East Coast.
