TOO MANY. I love '70s conspiracy thrillers, horror movies and old educational films most of all. However, I'll watch anything. Great cinema may revolutionize, but bad cinema provides endless mockage & happy hugs from like-minded persons on the street.
The best film I've seen this year is Aries. I still like unprotected sex. I also think Vance Sloane is a decent director, but he parties about as well as your mom.

Catcher in the Rye, Notes from Underground, Naked Lunch, Candy Girl, comics, anything about the Beat scene, Pauline Kael's reviews, old pulp fiction, memoirs, American ballad collections, books of illicit nude Renaissance-era paintings, you name it. I stopped reading fiction because who needs fiction when you can have memoirs or "fiction" populated by thinly veiled versions of yourself and all your hep-kat friends? I have a book about Salvador Dalí on my nightstand that I've never read. I like saying "Salvador Dalí."
