    .. .. .. "Per Far Lieto" are Catalina Vicens on Organetto (portative organ) and David Kuckhermann on Percussion. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. Catalina:.. Born in Santiago de Chile, Catalina begun her piano studies at the age of seven. With eighteen she was awarded with a full tuition scholarship for studying harpsichord with Lionel Party at the Curtis Institute of Musica, Philadelphia- USA, and later with the DAAD Scholarship to study with Robert Hill in Freiburg, Germany. Wanting a deeper insight into Early Music, Catalina goes to study harpsichord with Andrea Marcon at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, Switzerland, where enchanted by the world of medieval music, she pursues yet another Graduate Studies in late Medieval Keyboards with Corina Marti. In 2008 she won the 1st Prize in the historical keyboards International Comptetion “Fritz Neumayer”, Germany. Catalina performs as a soloist and with ensembles in the USA, South America and Europe. She has toured with the Youth Orchestra of the Americas in the main theaters of more than 8 countries and played under such well known conductors as Joseph Silverstein, Otto Werner Müller and J. Manuel Quintana. Besides playing in numerous Early Music Festivals, she has taken Masterclasses with Gustav Leonhardt, Jesper Christensen, Guillermo Perez and David Catalunya among others. .. .. After studying with teachers such as Glen Velez, Behnam Samani, Ramesh Shotham and Ustad Fayaz Khan he created his personal style, incorporating techniques and rhythms from the handdrumming traditions of Iran, India, Egypt, Europe, Turkey and Africa... Among others he worked with Omar Faruk Tekbilek, Dead Can Dance, Levent, Vladiswar Nadishana, the medieval music ensemble Cordatum, the Pera Ensemble, the Sicilian philharmonic orchestra and in contemporary music together with Helmut Bieler-Wendt and the Taner Akyol Trio. David has performed and tought masterclasses in Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Greece, Italy, Palestine, Tunisia, France, Poland, Estonia, Ireland and the USA. He has a series of instructional DVDs on hand- and fingerdrumming and is working on a method for middle-eastern percussion in collaboration with the Edward Said National Conservatory of music in Palestine...
