Too many humans have been wanting me to watch them on their webcams....and well...if you're not a dog..I'm not interested in your webcam.
....It's getting old!
My mom said I should tell people a little bit about myself.
I was born Dec.14th 1999 in Adam's County Ohio. (My mom also was born on Dec.14th!!)
I was adopted by my "human dad" in February 2000 at 10 weeks old. The nice man told my dad that he raised pit bulls to be family pets, and that if dad was going to fight me to go home because he didn't need money.
Well, mom never met a pit bull, and we lived in Cincinnati. Mom was afraid I would eat the kitties.
Dad had triple bypass surgery a month before I came home. Mom was afraid of getting dad upset, so she let me come home with them. I was the last puppy left out of 10.
When I was about a year old, I started looking for stuff to chew up. I didn't know what was mine, and what belonged to the human parents. I chewed up a cable remote, the cord to an electric blanket, (which was plugged in- luckily I chewed past the on/off switch!!) I also ate a bag of that funny stuff dad used to smoke all the time! (dad wasn't happy about it, but mom said he smoked too much of that stuff anyhow.)
Dad ran off with a lady he met on the chatline. He moved to one of those fancy apartments that doesn't like fur-people. Dad told mom she could have custody of me.
April 2002 I was still living with mom in a bad neighborhood of Cincinnati. It was full of vacant and boarded up houses. Mom was alsleep in the family room when there was a knock at the door one evening. It was already dark, and mom wasn't expecting company, so she ignored it. All of the sudden there was a loud thumping. I ran to the living room window and barked at them fiercely. Mom looked out, and saw three guys running for a car, and they sped off. One of the neighbors told mom three of the neighborhood crackheads were looking in the windows earlier that day. One had just got out of prison. Mom had to put a brass sleeve on the door to fix it.
....lucky mom had me there to protect her!!!!
Mom sold the house in Cincinnati April 2003, and moved me to Kentucky to keep me safe.
In October 2003 I was neutered and changed vets. It was a good thing. It was found that I had heartworm. The vet in Cincinnati didn't test for it. I didn't have any symptoms yet.
The treatment had me very weak for several days. I wasn't allowed to run and jump for about a month. The new vet was so nice. The assistant took me home to be with her human family til it was okay for me to come home to mom. She said that sometimes people can't afford their vet bills and leave their pets at the vet's office. She said that if mom did that she was going to keep me! She had a 3 year old son, so you know I am a gentle dog for her to even think about that. Mom said for all of you humans to please make sure your vet is checking for heartworm.
Now I'm just a housedog. I stay indoors and watch television.I don't chew up mom's stuff anymore. When the two cats start to fight, I go over and "nudge" one of them away from the other. (usually Midnight 'cause she's easier.)I'm never crated. I don't potty in the house. (unless mom is gone a awhile, then I use a "piddle pad")
Mom says I am a perfect dog! My new dad loves me, too!

About me: I am a pit bull. I live with my human, and a couple of cats. I'm not into fighting, or making babies.
I'm trying to clean up those false rumors about how vicious pit bulls are.
Those stories just aren't true. Sometimes bad people tell us to do bad things. Most often bad dogs live with bad humans, and the dog is just trying to make its human happy.....
I'd like to meet this nice human. Her name is Paulette Evans. She had a nice dog named Rock. The Cincinnati SPCA seized her dog and killed it because they thought Rock was a pit bull. (The story and link to it are on my blog.)
Rest in peace, Rock. We'll see you someday at the rainbow bridge.
I would love to meet President Obama. Mom and I just love him. He's a good human.
I also want to meet the humans on Cincinnati City Council.
Especially Cecil Thomas, Leslie Ghiz and Chris Monzel.
I want them to see what a friendly guy I am, so that one day I can go to my human grandparent's house. (They have a nice big fenced yard in Cincinnati.)Maybe "grandpa" could cookout.
Now Cincinnati wants to take away and kill pit bulls, and lock up their humans for 6 months. They don't even have room for the "real criminals".
Mom says it makes no sense.
HI George!!!Hope you're having a good day!! Love your profile pic!! NOPE that is not the one I saw, in fact the one i'm talking about is actually a series on Animal Planet!! It's about a lady who rescues pit bulls in California and she has parolee's who help assist her at the rescue. she has over two hundred dogs at any one time. Good show I haven't seen it this last week but the couple I saw were GREAT. It's Fridays on Animal Planet @ 9pm CST. You'll like it better I'm pretty sure. The movie you saw sounds like it was actually made by someone trying to make a quick dollar like PETA. Won't go anymore on that theory!!! LOL Have a great day !!
