Well, I always wanted to be a dentist. Molars, bye-cuspids, seemed like a good line of work. But my mother said "No, you take this here guitar and you go out and play low-down country music in dirty bars and dive saloons, and you make us some money. Besides which, maybe you'll run into your father, that way." So I did.
I was playin' a little with the Brooklyn Jugs, New York's premier jug band, for a while, and still like to play with them folks when I can. And if'n you get a chance to hear the Brotherhood of the Jug Band Blues folk, they're playing around, they are a few of the folk that used to be in the Jugs. Ain't no one like Stylin' Artie Styles on the jug, that's a fact.
Anyway, I play more country, these days. And more of my own stuff. Whatever I can remember when I ain't too drunk. So come on over and draw up a chair. This here music is fer saingin.

zeke! i need help! there is a jam session in mystic, CT (where i now live) every mon night, and i don't know any land based folk, these guys are good and kinda hard to follow... got any suggestions of tunes to try and find and learn?
