The current incarnation of Peri have been together for just over 4 years. Heavily influenced by bands like The Verve, My Bloody Valentine and Radiohead they set out to make a name for themselves by cutting their teeth in the Glasgow live music scene.
They have since played over 200 gigs around the West of Scotland, with a heavy emphasis on their hometown. They won the Summer in the City showcase twice, and also gained TV, radio and press exposure.
Peri are a formidable live outfit, striving to create an atmosphere and a sound worthy of the time and good money people have spent to see them.
Their sound is rich and wide, but never at the expense of melody and structure. The combination of ethereal guitars and keyboard, the solid backbone of rhythmn/bass and Cullen's high-tone vocal make the Peri sound mesmerising and original.
Through their existance, the band have stayed together purely for their love of playing together;whether it be recording, rehearsing or performing. However, they have come to realise that to truly validate everything they've done, they must work at getting their music heard by as many people as possible. Whoever you are - management, A&R, concert promotion, web design/promotion, fanzine editor or a music lover that wants to know when the next gig is - Peri want to hear from you.
Hope to see you soon.
