Permanent Midknight has returned with new members and are currently working
on new material that is in a word...deeeelish!
Permanent
Midknight (Commonly referred to as PMK). What can be said? Either you love
them or you hate them.
Permanent Midknight was first conceived back in 2002 with vocalist Kliph
Fortson and drummer Bryan Taylor after leaving their former bands.
Originating from Monroe, North Carolina, there has been a lot of trials and
tribulations. Through many member changes, Permanent Midknight has
solidified both there style as well as there live show. You never know what
to expect from this metal act.
When you come to see a Permanent Midknight show one thing is for sure, you
will remember them playing. Acclaimed Night Tribes metal e-zine described
them best by saying "This band is impressive from the start. PMK's music
doesn't grow on you, it hits you in the face full force. The band's energy
is enough to cause an adrenaline overload. The newest line up comprises new
members and returning members with the dedicated main stays. Mouthful? yeah.
Earful? definitely. The future is now."
Permanent Midknight has played with countless bands in the North and South
Carolina region. Practically a who's who in metal for their region which
include but are not limited to Astrid Haven, Headsnap, Dead 7, Curse Your
Name (AKA Cynder), Blyster, Nvain, Sever The Tie, Scapegoat, A Closing
Skyline, Of Life and Death, Afroman, Stuck Mojo, The Five L's, Mirage,
Obsidian, Jonin, Die As One, Beneath These Words, Sanctity, and many more.
Permanent Midknight puts every feeling and emotion you can imagine into
their songs to put on display to their fans. Mostly coming from rough lives,
Permanent Midknight paints a picture in every song to show people what they
have been through in life ranging from the dark pleasures of drugs, to
contemplating suicide, to relationships gone sour. The pictures are not very
bright but it marks for a grim reminder of the paths that are chosen in
life. This is eternal darkness. This is what your parents warned you about.
