About me:

We are active revolutionaries committed to methods of struggle which empower workers. Our aim is a socialist society where production is geared to the needs of all, not the profits of a few. Such a society, unlike the old Soviet Union, must be under the direct democratic control of workers. We believe such a society will not come about without co-ordinated calls for action - a programme. We believe we need an international party to develop that programme and win the majority of workers to it. That party must be a model of the direct democracy we preach. Uniquely on the socialist left, we practise collective decision-making.

Capitalism is responsible for dividing us and oppressing minority groups. We utterly oppose discrimination on the basis of race, gender, sexuality, age or disability.

Just as capitalism exploits workers, so it plunders and pollutes the environment uncontrollably. We believe the very survival of the earth now depends on its overthrow.

We want to see the left rebuilt. We are therefore opposed to the sectarianism, opportunism, dogmatism, reformism and cynical contempt for democracy which prevails on the socialist left. We aim to help build a revolutionary international that workers can trust.

Check the Founding Statement in our blog for a full description of us - or just message us to discuss any aspect of our politics.

More news items and analysis are available at our regularly updated website, permanentrevolution.net. Our Australian supporters have a website here.

Note: Permanent Revolution is a newly-formed group and we are in a discussion process with sympathisers in a number of countries. Until that process is complete all views and documents here are those of UK Permanent Revolution unless otherwise indicated.

Who I'd like to meet:

All open-minded people interested in revolutionary socialist politics. We are fully committed to left regroupment around a common programme and welcome contact from other groups.

Cities in which we're based include London, Cardiff, Liverpool, Manchester and Sheffield - but we welcome interest from anywhere.

Please note, we cannot reply to comments in the section below! Message us to discuss any aspect of our politics, or post comments to our blogs, where we can also post.

books by Trotsky

"In my inner life, not only during my school years but throughout my youth, nature and individuals occupied a lesser place than books and ideas. Despite my country bringing-up, I was not sensitive to nature. My interest in it and my understanding of it came in later years, when childhood and even early youth were far behind. For a long time people passed through my mind like random shadows. I looked into myself and into books, in which in turn I tried again to find myself and my future.

Washington Transcripts (What is really being said in DC)

We don’t create homeless veterans; they do to themselves. My Veterans Administration supports veterans who support themselves, not them that whine about what they been put through and not getting enough education benefits. Look at John McCain and myself, we are both Vietnam era. We both picked ourselves up by the boots. We are both shinning beacons of what these homeless vets can be, beacons standing on a high hill of compassionate conservatism.

Now a lot of people are saying Iraq is getting like Humpty Dumpty. I am here to tell you it sure is not. First, it is not, because I am no king; I am the President of America and we are not using any horses over there either.

The olympic fiasco is on a TV near you soon

Don’t go to Beijing

Burning bright
We’re expected to embrace
The Beijing flame
Human rights
Are denied
So they can play their stupid games

But we couldn’t go to Moscow
Because the Commies were bad guys
But now they want to buy Nike
And they can sell us cheap textiles
And depress all dissent
And that is the democracy we like

Sweat Shop labour
To make the toys
Stamped with Olympic pride
Crimes of poverty
In a rich nation
Hidden from our eyes

But we don’t delve too deeply
Because we need the market
Don’t want to lose our profits
Or even our position
We’ve got to keep on creaming
That is the democracy
That is the democracy
Keep our nation rich and free
That is the democracy we like

Don’t go to Beijing
Nobody’s going to Beijing

Kids are killing their friends and themselves in our wonderful western democracies - how the hell did this come to pass

Cold Dead Hands

He had murder in mind
When he walked through the door
Guitar case full of toys
From a convenience store

If tomorrow's so bright
Why is his head full of pain
It's the American dream
It's going to shoot your children down
Again and again

He's a high school killer
America's furture
He's a high school killer
From a child to a butcher
You've got to take it
From his cold dead hands

Well he was Rambo Stallone
And Charlton Heston in black
Terminator Schwarzenegger
But he won't be coming back
He will not be back

From Columbine
Down to North Illinios
Your country's murdering
Your Pride and Joy
The disllusionment and alienation
The fear and pain in your fuck up nation
(more than voting) Worldwide Progressive Movement

We've now had 5 years of lies about 9/11, WMD's, and freedom. The real reasons were oil, profiteering, and fascism. Not just Bush, but the news media, most of congress, and all who remain silent. And now they'll use fear to quash dissent. It's nothing new -- it's been going on for ages. War, poverty, ecocide, arrogant bullying --they're all from greed and fear, which come from ignorance. ♥ But it's not too late -- we can still learn to make peace. Talk with people. Love, Eric

Season Greetings from statesofunrest
They don’t know it’s Christmas
It’s not Christmas in the Third World and they don’t care
They’re too busy being raped by our capitalist nightmare
A million fingers scrape about in the rubble
So we can feel secure in our privileged bubble
They don’t need a jolly Santa no Coca Cola lie
Our fat celebration’s just a spit in their eye
It’s not a happy Christmas it’s not peace and goodwill
It’s just another year of death capital gain capital kill
Rampant disease massive Aids culture
World banks hover like blood lust vultures
Centuries of depravity from civilisations
Carving up the riches of innocent nations
So stuff your belly fat let the drinks run free
Cos Africa is dying under a Joshua tree
Another freezing starry night another barren landscape
Another fat hand grabbing at a Christmas cake
They don’t know it’s Christmas don’t defend the lie
Don’t pretend to feed the world while you watch them die
There’s no baby in a cradle but there are thousands in graves
Starved to death by the greed of the rich and depraved
It’s not a happy Christmas it’s not peace and goodwill
It’s just another year of death capital gain capital kill
It’s not a happy Christmas it’s not peace and goodwill
It’s just another year of death capital gain capital kill

ur welcome, and yes youve got my name right lol

also, with regards to your "about me" section:
"We are therefore opposed to the sectarianism, opportunism, dogmatism, reformism and cynical contempt for democracy which prevails on the socialist left."
why reformism? I see no reason why reform, if it produces the same results, isnt a viable alternative to - if not better than (since it avoids unnecessary bloodshed, and the risk of opportunists taking advantage of the power vacuum that often results from a revolution) armed revolution. and so long as reformists support/take part in the revoltion, should it happen, reformism produces no division to the united front. dogmatic revolutionists are as much at fault for that particular division as dogmatic reformists, whats the problem with taking the middle ground? o.o

LET'S BE CAVALIER: 'NEW LABOUR' IS OLD HAT.

"A SANE REVOLUTION" - D.H.LAWRENCE

If you make a revolution, make it for fun,
don't make it in ghastly seriousness,
don't do it in deadly earnest,
do it for fun.

Don't do it just because you hate people,
do it just to spit in their eye.

Don't do it for the money,
do it and be damned to the money.

Don't do it for equality,
do it because we've got too much equality
and it would be fun to upset the apple-cart
and see which ways the apples would go a-rolling.

Don't do it for the working classes.
Do it so we can of all us be little aristocracies on our own
and kick our heels like jolly escaped asses.

Don't do it, anyhow, for international Labour.
Labour is the one thing a man has had too much of.
Let's abolish labour, let's have done with labouring!
WORK CAN BE FUN, SO LET'S ENJOY IT; THEN IT'S NOT LABOUR.
LET'S HAVE IT SO! LET'S MAKE A REVOLUTION FOR FUN!

Has anyone taken a look at:

mo-truth.blogspot.com

If you agree that a law should be passed to prosecute politicians for deceiving the public then you should check it out. As I have said before, the filmakers are going to try to get the 'Misrepresentation of the People act' passed through parliament. I believe that they need public support for the act to be taken seriously by parliament...therefore, If you show your support for them the campaign will be successful

show your support and share you views on the website

Mar 2 2007 2:53 AM

I was scouring through the internet one day I came across this website:

mo-truth.blogspot.com

There is a really interesting documentary on it about how politicians lie all the time without having to face any consequences. Apparently there isn't a law to prosecute politicians for deceiving the public...sooo, the filmakers have formulated a law entitled the 'Misrepresentation of the People act' and they are currently trying to find an MP to help them get it through parliament.

I think that they need lots of public support for parliament to take the act seriously

Any thoughts?
