Sounds Like
Lots of things you can't quite place, and a few things you recognize immediately as the pure homages they are.
Please note that all of the personal messages left here for Joe are not actually seen by Joe, and some of them actually embarrass us a great deal. This is the band's "official" myspace page, in that those who "administer" the page are, in fact, employees of Ashmont Records, Inc., member, Dorchester Board of Trade.
This is the domain of well-meaning record company bureaucrats with no artistic talent, who make money by exploiting the talents of people like Joe Pernice. Joe Pernice blogs fairly regularly at www.pernicebrothers.com, but not here.
This is the myspace page for the record company of the rock band The Pernice Brothers, who swear to God that they're going to get around to figuring out how to make this myspace stuff translate into record sales, but they're approaching middle age, so it's tough. The Pernice Brothers release records on their own label, Ashmont Records in Dorchester, Massachusetts, member Dorchester Board of Trade. Joe Pernice also records as Joe Pernice, and his most recent record, "It Feels So Good When I Stop (Novel Soundtrack)" was released in August 2009, and is a companion to his debut novel of roughly the same name. If you're just dying to learn more about Joe and the band, visit www.joepernice.com, where you'll find slightly less outdated information, plus a discography (which is getting really, really long), streaming audio, some music videos plus little movies Joe Pernice, who fancies himself an auteur, made with the camera he convinced us all was a valid band expense, though no one else is ever allowed to use it. There is also info there about Joe's old band, the Scud Mountain Boys, who 5 very vocal people say was better than the Pernice Brothers, but we think their brains have been pickled by too much Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Joe you'll never see this so I'll write it anyway...Live a little is amazing on so many levels I can only begin to describe it's beauty. Thanks for making a perfect pop record. You had to be pretty stoked when these tunes came outta you. Hope all was not under duress like it is for the rest of us songwriters.
Joe, Thank you so much for visiting Portland and gracing us with a wonderful night of music and readings from your book. I really loved hearing "Amazing Glow", it was a perfect night! Thanks again and please come back again soon!!!!
I'm looking at an autographed copy of your book, listening to "Ferris Wheel", and wondering when will he brave the south? Please come to NOLA, for me?!?
