The latest NOMINON mini-CD "OMEN" is OUT NOW!!

Here's a drum angle while I play the song "Black Chapel" on the recent USA tour we did with NOMINON. This one was shot in Nashville, TN, USA. NOMINON played support to MONSTROSITY that particular night.

PERRA KARLSSON – Metal drummer extra deluxe!

Drummer Perra Karlsson (born February 14th, 1973) started his drumming back home in Kumla, Sweden at the age of 9. He formed his first rock band when he was 12. In the early years Perra was influenced (and still is) by hard-hitting hard rock drummers like Tommy Lee and Cozy Powell (R.I.P.) The first "Real" studio recording was made during 1988 with a rock group called JAM SESSION. But it wasn't until Perra joined the classic Death/Thrash metal band SUFFER in 1990 that things started to move faster. They started directly to record (and release, of course) various EP's and albums that was taped at the SUNLIGHT STUDIO in Stockholm with legendary producer Tomas Skogsberg. At the summer 1992 SUFFER played the biggest festival in Sweden at the time; HULTSFREDSFESTIVALEN, among bands like CANDLEMASS, DISMEMBER, MESHUGGAH and others. SUFFER split up in 1994 and Perra immediately moved to the capital of Sweden; Stockholm, to join the Doom rock band SERPENT (featuring members from such well known acts like ENTOMBED, CARBONIZED and THERION). Perra also had the time though to help out the, at the time, "Not-so-known" Grind/Metal band NASUM on their first shows ever in 1995 in Sweden and Germany.

Perra stayed in Stockholm for several years, until 2002, and released several albums and played numerous shows with SERPENT and T.A.R during this period. In late 2001 Perra joined the Jönköping based Death Metal band NOMINON, and this is the band that has being the most successful combo that Perra has played with so far. Several European and North American tours, festivals and albums have been released and the band always got something new going on.

But as we all know, Perra likes to keep himself busy, so in late 2003 he also joined the Death Black Metal band IN AETERNUM. That band has so far released three CD's with Perra behind the kit and made several tours in Europe. Besides all this Perra has also been part of in a rehearsal / live moment with acts like NIFELHEIM, ALTAR, THE EVERDAWN and in the most recent years recording drums on albums by BERGRAVEN, NEX as well as guesting on the new GRAVEYARD album "One With The Dead" (that also features Dan Swanö on guest vox.)

During September 2009 Perra recorded the drums for the new NOMINON album "Monumentomb" as well as the mini-CD "Omen". The MCD is already out on DEATHGASM RDS and the album is set to be unleashed Feb/March 2010 on the very same label.
