PERRO MALO is a rock band born at the end of 2006, formed by 5 italian musicians coming from the Ravenna province – Romagna, Northern Italy – who gave life this project after the breaking up of the bands where they played: “Doctor Doom” (compilation Oi siamo ancora qui, compilation Nightpieces 3, D.D.Funk, Stupid, compilation Canzoni di Eroi, 7 inches) important Faenza based band which crossed more than 10 years of indipendent music history and “Sartana” from Ravenna (Trade your pistol for a coffin, Where the bad boys rock, compilation tribute to The Misfits, compilation I used to fuck people like you).
PERRO MALO’ s music born from a typical r’n’r matrix made of a raw, hard and powerful sound of “stoner” inspiration, but their compositive approach takes them far away from the desert and gigantic atmospheres of this kind of music to explore different territories which lead to suggestions with “dark” and “post core” tones, without disdaining “pop” touches and classic 60’s rock colouring.
PERRO MALO plays arrogant and immediate music, disquieting in same ways, fearing not to treat in a non-politically correct way the subjects of the lyrics and in some cases they face social themes of particular interest.
At the moment PERRO MALO alternates live activity and composition and is working with the managing agency Alkemist to find the right label to release his debut album, now in the pre- production phase. After several gigs in clubs and pubs the band has opened the Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath) concert at Frogstock Festival 2008.
