The Perry Twins are Los Angeles based Billboard Magazine Reporting DJs/Producers who just released their new single with Niki Haris called "Bad, Bad Boy".
"Bad, Bad Boy" is the follow up to their debut single "Activate My Body" featuring Jania which went to number 1 on several charts including Cashbox Magazine, Logo (video), and Perfect Beat. "Activate My Body" was in the top 10 of Billboard's Hot Club Play Chart for a month and a half and spent two weeks at number 3.
The Perry Twins recently completed remixes for Carrillo & Amador's "Save Me", Win Marcinak/Gioia Bruno's "Kiss & Tell/Dirty Cash", Jimmy D. Robinson's "A Tiny Shoe" and Kristine W's "Never" which hit number 1 on the Billboard Hot Club Play Chart. They are currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on new remixes for Kristine W and Sweet Feet Music.
The twins, who received the Weho Award for Outstanding DJ of '08, have been dj'ing professionally since the late 90's and they have spun throughout the US at hot clubs, parties, pride festivals, and star-studded events. Originally from Rhode Island, Doug & Derek developed a passion for music at a very young age. They inherited their rhythm and love of performing from their parents who are in a rock band called "Fortune". Their Mom sings and Dad plays drums. The twins grew up dancing and playing music so it was no surprise when they decided to take on dj'ing, choreographing, dancing and remixing professionally.
At the same time The Perry Twins began spinning at clubs, they started their own radio mixshow, "Dance Planet", which aired for 5 years in New England. During that time, Derek & Doug's dance troupe of the same name performed throughout New York and the east coast at concerts, clubs and Pride events. Since relocating to Los Angeles, the twins have danced and choreographed for shows all over the country and their twintastic mixshows featuring the freshest dance music can now be heard internationally.
The Perry Twins have worked with some of dance music's hottest artists including Kristine W, Expose's Gioia Bruno, Erin Hamilton, Alyson, Taborah, Lauren Hildebrandt, Thea Austin, Ari Gold, Jeanie Tracy, Stevie Jewel, Ohsha Kai, Debby Holiday, Nemesis Rising, and Rockell. Doug and Derek have danced on NBC's "American Dreams", interviewed celebrities on FOX's "On-Air With Ryan Seacrest", competed on UPN's "Dance 360", back-up danced in "Chippendales: The Show", appeared on Disney Channel's "That's So Raven", starred in national TV commercials and they also create original music for film and television.
Doug & Derek's recent dj appearances include Celebrities Nightclub (Vancouver), Red Dress Party (Seattle), Eleven (LA), Here (LA), The Abbey (LA), My House (LA), Amsterdam (Phoenix), The Roxy (Boston), Krave (Las Vegas), Babylon (Salt Lake City), Telluride Gay Ski Week, and the 20th Anniversary of Jeffrey Sanker's White Party Palm Springs.
The Perry Twins will be dj'ing in the upcoming months at Long Beach Pride, Gay Day @ California's Great America, Splash Bash 8 (Phoenix), Michigan Pride, Spiral (Lansing), Purr (Seattle), Twisted Element (Calgary), The San Diego Pride Ball, and Ascension Weekend.
