Hailing from Andorra, a small country located in the pyrenees mountains between France and Spain, we now bring you one of the most exciting new acts on the evergrowing metal scene; Persefone.
The band was formed in 2003 and, in just a year the first album was recorded, Truth Inside the Shades. Carlos Lozano (Guitar and voice for that cd), Miguel Espinosa (Keyboards and vocals)), Jordi Gorgues (guitar) and Toni Mestre (bass) parting from Death metal, through progressive passages and even acoustics, they demonstrated to have a great musicallity. Bands like Opeth, Symphony X or Cacophony are a reference for this album Truth Inside the Shades
Teaming up with Danish-based Intromental Management, the cd was released in 2004 by in Russia/Baltic States by Cd-Maximum, Japan by Soundholic and the rest of the world by Adipocere. The album was soon distributed and a great feedback was received from specialiazed press. Persefone created a new style original, complex, melodic and even agressive!
Later, after the releasing, the band began working in the second cd Core, with two new members in the band: Aleix Dorca as a drummer/producer and Marc Martins as a vocalist. Core is an intense crusade in which the band relates Persephones story, the greek goddess from the Underworld. A concept tribute divided on three epic passages where the band defies Truth Inside the Shades. The actual formation has got a new level of complexity, originality, virtuossisme, melody and agressivity. Mixed and produced by Aleix Dorca and mastered in Sweden by Peter in de Betou (ingeneer of top bands like Dimmu Borgir, Enslaved, Dark Tranquility and Katatonia), Core shows a new, huge and modern sound.

Persefone, a band not easy to put a genre-description, now come back with Core, an album that goes further and beyond of what has been listened until now. With so many new and upcoming bands in the heavy metal world, Persefone has got a hard task in front of them, but the band have total confidence in themselves and their music, and were convinced that youll feel the exact same way, as soon as youve sat down and listened to the album. Core is something new and really exciting- do not cheat yourself for a one-in-a-lifetime experience!

Genial el concierto de Albacete, el sonido fue muy bueno, lástima el sitio, que no es para este tipo de eventos, menos mal que después de la segunda canción nos levantamos unos pocos jejeje

Qué pasa monstruos!! Qué os vamos a decir que no os dijeramos ya? Que muchísimas gracias por todo, disteis un conciertazo, sois unos músicos de la leche y haciendo la música que hacéis, con lo difícil que es, en directo lo plasmáis a la perfección, que maravilla. Quedamos muy orgullosos de haberos traído, no solo por el pedazo de concierto (que le encantó a todo el mundo), sino también por ser gente tan de puta madre, que a la hora de organizar este tipo de cosas es toda una alegría que las bandas den tantas facilidades y sean tan flexibles (y esto también va por el resto de bandas con las que hemos tratado, siempre excelentes).
Poco más que decir de aquella noche que ya no sepáis, el festival en general ha sido un éxito y una experiencia cojonuda para nosotros (esperamos que para vosotros también) y fue una noche que no olvidaremos. Esperamos seguir mucho tiempo dando guerra y con el trabajo constante para que este tipo de noches se repitan cada vez más y sean cada vez mejores (¡un reto difícil!), y por supuesto esperamos que la relación con Persefone en este recorrido siga adelante y sea mutua, podéis contar con nosotros para lo que necésiteis.
