Your worst nightmare... or like we need a vocalist... one or the other. Take your pick.
The three of us have been playing different instruments in various garage bands in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties for over a decade. A couple of years ago we ran into each other in the Santa Barbara area, decided to get a band together, and Personal Crisis was born. Our roots are pretty much in old school punk rock, skateboarding, hot rods, and wrecking airplanes. Lots of people think we look alike, but we're not related. We play parties, birthdays, weddings, funerals, and political fund raisers, but haven't really broken into the major club scene. We recorded a seven song, self-titled "Personal Crisis" demo EP in 2006, and have recorded a few studio singles since then. We've been through several vocalists, including JT, Mad Matt, Glenn (sorry, not Danzig), Gumby, and Michael. Currently we've posted mostly live recordings at this site, so the listener can enjoy all the feedback, humming monitors, garbled vocals, and various screw-ups of our live shows. Point the mouse at the picture next to each song to see the date, venue, and singer. Thanks to all our friends and fans. No thanks to all the posers, loudmouths, tourists, and the CHP. P.S. ... if you like what you hear, check out my other band, WAGES OF FEAR!
Kiera's working that night...I'll try and get a baby sitter. Have you guys checked into playing at the Living room? That might be a good venue for punkrock!
I would try for Billy O's or San Souci I think it's called.... maybe rock city in Camarillo. Santa Barbara sucks for shows but there's velvet jones, creekside, and casa de la raza that has shows every once in awhile
Don't work with Cristal Clark or the company she runs: Twofister promotions, this chick screws bands over. Check out our new blog, talking about this stupidity. I want to give you all a shout out because you are my music scene friends. Keep it real out there. FROG...
