It’s not ‘cause they don't like the beach or don't enjoy nature, but it was the lack of space to show their music that united both of them in 2001, changing their typical carioca (*) habits into daily hours of work inside the studio.
Renato Bastos and Breno Ungierowicz have worked for years making jingles and sound tracks. All these efforts have a goal, their real motivation: the simple pleasure of producing techno music.
With the money from their work and monthly parties in the most recognized electronic music club in Rio, they invested on equipment to perform live presentations e also on their own label, the Pertence Records, by which they launched three records in 2005 and 2006.
The outcome from UNG & BASTOS partnership on the studio consist on the variation of mystical and somber music, on loops and sonorities sotimes more housy, keeping some brazilian soul with a big influence from german electronic music.
The idea is to reflect the feeling of living on a city of extremes, Rio De Janeiro: social contrasts, natural beauties - and lots of good music.
