Pertin-nce started of as a net-label & CD-R label from Québec, Canada in 2005 to promote and distribute emerging sounds within the genres of: techno, house, digital dub, ambient, minimal & experimental.------
Pertin-nce releases free electronic music via its own web site pertin-nce.com and also sells other music on sites like Beatport, Wasabeat, Emusic, Juno & others.------
Release history:
The first free MP3 singles (usually only one track) featured catalog numbers from "P1" to "P28".------
The CDr releases include catalog numbers: Pertin_01 to Pertin_04 plus Pertin_13, Pertin_18 and Pertin_31.------
In December 2006 the net-label relaunched its web site with a new look and started back a new release catalog with the re-release of the album "Still My Beating Heart Beats" by Aidan Baker. Since then Pertin-nce
EPs & LPs have followed on a regular basis.------
The early 28 single releases were made available once again via the Internet Archive (www.archive.org).------
In 2009 Pertin-nce launched a series of dj mixes called The Pertin-nce Show.------
Released bimonthly on Myspace, Facebook, Percussion Labs and Mixcloud, the mixes utilize samples, loops and tracks from Pertin-nce artists recombined and layered with additional releases from like-minded labels.
