The band Pescadores de Ventanas was founded in the Spring of 2005 by Gustavo Bauchwitz in the city of Berlin, Germany.
Since then the band has played more than 80 concerts in Germany and in other countries (for example in the cities of Prague and Copenhagen).
In April-May 2007 the band toured around Mexico and played i.e. at the renowned festival of Aguascalientes. In October-November 2008 they made their second Mexico tour.
The band has released an independent cd.
Pescadores de Ventanas is a band that plays their own compositions and the musical style cannot be easily described.
The name Pescadores de Ventanas came as the band rehearsed in a ground floor apartment with a view to the street. Pedestrians stopped by to ask what was that music coming out of the window, and so came the thought: Seems like we are fishing people from the window. And that is precisely what the name means in Spanish.
The band is based in Berlin.
El grupo Pescadores de Ventanas fue fundado en la primavera europea de 2005 por Gustavo Bauchwitz en Berlín, Alemania.
Desde entonces la banda ha ofrecido mas de 80 conciertos en Alemania y en otros países (Por ejemplo: En las ciudades de Praga y Copenhague).
El grupo ha realizado ya dos giras por México, habiéndose presentado en el renombrado festival de Aguascalientes, entre otros. El año que viene tienen prevista una nueva gira por México y se está trabajando en una posible gira por Brasil.
Acaban de editar un cd en forma independiente.
Pescadores de Ventanas ejecuta sus propias composiciones y a su música no puede colocársele un rótulo determinado.
El nombre Pescadores de Ventanas surgió cuando la banda ensayaba en un departamento en planta baja con vista a la calle. La gente al pasar se detenía a preguntar qué era esa música saliendo de la ventana. Y de ahí la idea: Es como si se pescara gente desde la ventana.
La banda tiene base en Berlín, Alemania.
O Grupo Pescadores de Ventanas nasceu na primavera europeia de 2005 idealizado por Gustavo Bauchwitz em Berlin.
Em dois anos a banda se apresentou por varios lugares do mundo como: Praga, Copenhagen, Mexico e muitas cidades da Alemanha.
O nome da banda surgiu quando ensaiavam em um apartamento térreo com vista para a rua. As pessoas paravam, assistiam ao ensaio e pediam cds pela janela. Assim surgiu a idéia: Pescavam gente pela janela.
A Banda tem base em Berlin, Alemanha.
Die Band Pescadores de Ventanas wurde im Frühjahr 2005 von Gustavo Bauchwitz in Berlin gegründet.
Seitdem hat die Band mehr als 80 Konzerte in Deutschland und im Ausland gespielt
(z.B. in Prag, Kopenhagen).
Im April-Mai 2007 ist die Band durch Mexico getourt und dort u.a. beim bekannten Festival von Aguascalientes aufgetreten. Die zweite Mexico Tour hat im Oktober-November 2008 stattgefunden.
Die Band hat eine selbst produzierte CD veröffentlicht.
Pescadores de Ventanas ist eine Band, die ausschließlich eigene Kompositionen spielt. Der Stil passt nicht in irgendeine Schublade.
Der Name Pescadores de Ventanas entstand, als die Band in einer Erdgeschosswohnung mit Blick auf die Straße probte. Passanten hielten an und fragten, was das für eine Musik sei, die da aus dem Fenster kam. Da entstand der Gedanke: Sie sind eine Art "Fischer aus dem Fenster". Das ist es auch, was der Name auf Spanisch bedeutet.
