Pestifer est un groupe de Death Metal liégeois formé par les frères Adrien et Phil, respectivement bassiste et batteur. Après avoir mis en place une série de compos, ils rencontrent leur guitariste Antoine lors de la fête du 15 août 2004 à Liège. Après avoir longuement discuté et mûri le projet, le trio commence ses répétitions en février 2005, et l'alchimie fonctionne très bien. Plus qu'à recruter une chanteur, ce qui est fait quelques mois plus tard en la personne de Morty, chanteur de Spectre, un groupe de Black Metal liégeois. S'en suit une série de concerts en Wallonie et l'enregistrement d'une démo trois titres en mars 2006, envoyée à divers fanzines underground partout dans le monde, avec généralement de bons retours. En décembre 2006, le trio de base décide de se séparer de son chanteur. L'année 2007 n'est ponctuée que de quelques concerts à Liège, Huy et Lille avec à chaque fois des chanteurs de session. Le groupe enregistre également une chanson pour la compilation "Face Your Undreground" à l'initiative du site Deathmetal.be, distibuée un peu partout en Europe. Alors que le groupe est victime de démotivation, faute de chanteur et de local de répète, la situation semble s'éclaircir à nouveau. En effet Pestifer investit de tout nouveaux locaux disponibles à Liège, et fête l'arrivée coup sur soup d'un second guitariste et d'un nouveau chanteur. La motivation et la mise en place d'un set cohérent d'une dizaine de chansons laisse espérer une année 2009 bien remplie en concerts...et en bières!

Pestifer is a death metal band from Liège. The original line-up dates back to 1998, after the split of Burgus, with twins Phil (drums) and Adrien (bass), and Laurent (guitars). After unsuccessful attempts to give life to the project (lack of time, no place for the rehearsals and no reliable members), the 3 fellows decide to put it between brackets and form Salmonellose, a band they still play in.

In August 2004, Phil meets guitarist and drummer Antoine at a popular party in Liège after having taken his place on drums in "Innerfire". A few beers later, they find out that they have the same passion for a sweet kind of music, death metal, and plan to play together in a near future. The collaboration becomes real in February 2005. Adrien and Antoine begin to share their musical ideas. Their first rehearsals are acoustic, Adrian on bass and Antoine on guitar.

Together with Phil on drums, they rapidly write several songs in their parents' cellar. At the end of June 2005, Morty (Spectre, ex-Excavated, ex-Phallomachia), who had already been contacted 6 years ago, join them and complete the line-up. The alchemy between the 4 four members works rapidly and the band writes soon another dozen of new songs.

The Band recorded his first 3 tracks promo demo during march 2006 at Ubik studio in Brussels.

Pestifer's music can be defined as early nineties death metal naturally influenced by the rich musical history and drinking sessions of each member.

The guys are highly motivated and are now looking for a maximum of gigs to get a real kick of their 2 main passions: METAL AND BEERS.
