Also, I'm sick of hearing people say that black metal is meant to "bring people together" or that "Satan is just a metaphor for individuality." Fuck them. If you can't handle the idea of literal Satanism, you aren't into black metal, so stop pretending. You don't have to be into it. It doesn't make you cool. I'm not saying YOU have to be Satanic, or even that I am, just that the music does; it goes against the very thing that makes metal "black" for it to NOT be associated with the occult in some manner.
