After returning from a prestigious gig in the Hamptons, the band had a meeting about a name for their new project. In a twist of fate, the bassist pulled a tick (eww!) from his hair and thus the moniker PEST was born.
PEST is an all-star collection of musicians from underground New York City bands. They are currently recording their debut album.
The group formed in the summer of 2005 when Brendan from The Erractics jammed with Damian of the alternative rock group Swami. Adding Joel from The Hi-Scores and Dave from Never On Sunday they crafted a set of hard hitting music with pop-punk hooks and stick-in-yer-ear melodies.
The song "It girl" won the Great American Song contest Honor award 2006.
