Sisters Britani and Stephani Kagan, who front the band, have been playing and writing music for as long as they can remember. The actual band blossomed in mid 2007, but the lineup and sound of the group has changed significantly since then. "We started out playing music that was obviously inspired by another time. We've always been influenced by bands from the 60s and 70s, female-fronted punk rock and even some folk singers. Our music used to really reflect that. Now, Petals has completely evolved. We've taken the influences from past decades and melded it with contemporary music to create something truly unique," says singer Britani Kagan. Petals' live shows are undeniably action packed; it's always a party. The music is upbeat, the energy is high. There's nothing but positivity in Petals' future, so hold on tight, they're ready to take you for a ride. -
