Pete Bush's love of all music comes through in the eclectic group of styles he incorporates into one set. He started off at 13 playing guitar in hardcore bands in Pittsburgh and West Virginia. In 2000 the band Salena Catalina was formed and featured Pete on upright bass. With a growing love of Jazz and Hip-Hop he started writing and growing as a musician all over again. Both Salena Catalina albums became 91.3 WYEP favorites and earned them top honors in the best of the year local releases. In 2004 with 9 albums from various bands, playing Three Rivers Stadium, and playing with national touring acts, Pete packed up his gear and headed West in pursuit of a solo career. Now in Seattle, Pete formed the Hoi Polloi and has a steadily growing following. The first solo full length album was recorded at Avast Studios by Cameron Nicklaus (Band of Horses) and released August 2008. In addition he was the bassist for indie favorite Cub Country and has appeard as a bassist on albums by David Hillman, Jason Dean, and Cassandra Speaks.
