  • Bio

Born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey, Pete Chambers plays his unique style of folk and storyteller rock mostly between New York, Boston, and Philadelphia. In 2005, Pete hooked up with Manchester England native and punk rock legend, Steve Garvey of the "Buzzcocks" to create the classic CD, "State and Montgomery". .. "State and Montgomery" isn't just an album title, but rather a significant part of Pete's history. On that very corner in downtown Trenton sat "The Famous" restaurant - a place where Pete spent a great deal of time in his early years. For decades, the restaurant truly was famous in the Trenton area as it ran twenty four hours a day and was busy into the wee hours of the morning with police officers, cab drivers, newspaper writers and politicians. The historical landmark was owned by Pete's grandfather and father and is now sadly empty and abandoned. .. "State and Montgomery" holds special meaning to Pete and we hope it will also have special meaning for you. Let's go back in time to the year 1950 when Trenton was a hustling and bustling city. "The Famous" is open and packed with customers.... Sit back, drink a cup of coffee and listen to songs like "Shoeless Joe" "Jack Dempsey" "She looks like Judy Garland" and " Baltimore". You may even want to have another cup of coffee! Don't worry about the price - it's only a nickel and for an extra forty five cents you can even have the "Deluxe Burger". Thanks for visiting us at "State and Montgomery" and don' t forget to tip the waitress! .. .. .. .. .. .. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. ..
