Over the past 15 years (in New Orleans and Portland) Pete Ficht has played in numerous bands, and also as a solo act, in a wide variety of styles. Equally adept as a frontman (singer/songwriter on guitar/bass) or sideman (bass/keyboards), he began with the primitive thrash-folk of the HOUSE LEVELERS, onwards through the pure powerpop of NOISECANDY, the indie rock of the STATE FLOWERS, the co-ed alterna-pop of JOY POP TURBO, the drug-riddled space rock of KING BLACK ACID, the rootsy violin and accordion-driven NATIONAL ANTHEM to the straight country of LISA & HER KIN. In 2007, Pete was the bassist of the, STRANGE EFFECTS, playing garagey, psychedelic 60's pop.
Vampires and Werewolves fucking and fighting...........oh my! Our new single "Let's Burn" is out now on the UnderWorld 3 soundtrack, available on i-tunes.
Hey Fete Picht, you ever wonder what it sounds like when five super skilled wizards do battle with a herd of sexy unicorns all juiced up on teenage sugar wolf pills? Well our new set of material is all about that shit my friend....It's heavy like a chevy with more hooks than a f *cking pirate convention! We hope you show up with no pants.
I should be there too. Should be a fun party. who are the Black Lips??? should I know them??? and actually your comment contained 3 things, not 2... FYI.
Hey, we waved both times we were at the airport. Did you see us? Who knew they won't let you pump your own gas in Oregon? I wouldn't mind that law here...
Oregon is the most BEAUTIFUL state in the world! I always wondered why you guys liked it so much; now I know. White water rafting in Maupin, micro-breweries along the Columbia, rolling hills of wine in the valley and a shoreline that puts the southeast to shame. I saw a whale dive!
Rogue Dead Man rocks! So does Adelsheim. And the coffee... holy crap, it was all good!
We're coming back ASAP. Next time, we must get together with you. We haven't done Portland yet!
