As a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, bass, keys, vocals, programming) & producer in the Devner-Boulder, Colorado area, I'm a musician with a voracious appetite for good music of any genre (though sylistically speaking, my heart is trapped somewhere in the world between Jamiroquai, Van Halen King's X and Phish. . In addition to my local studio and sideman work, when my schedule permits I can also be seen playing guitar with NYC's own Suspicious Brown. In previous lives I was the guitarist in Hoboken, New Jersey's Jackson Observer, a member of New Brunswick, NJ funk sensation Barbuda, heavy-groove project Waves on Mars and the Medeski Martin and Wood inspired Thique. I'm a self-confessed tone junkie and am completely obsessed with all things guitar and music related.
So what is "JamShred" you ask? For me its the music that I want to hear......to have the grooves and intricacies of jamband and funk-related music but to have the full on in your face rock guitar that made classic 70's and 80's era music so guitar-centric. What can I say.....I'm infatuated with creating the music that I don't hear on the radio. Hey, somebody has to do it!
Greetings from Hoboken. Here's the new single from my indie rock band Skidmore Fountain , "Asylum." Let me know what you think!
We're playing Friday 10/17 at Pianos, 11pm. I'm playing with the two bands beforehand, Quitzow and Setting Sun, as well (and heading to Europe with them in November). Hope you can make it!
That profile picture continues to kick ass! I have a picture of me from the 9th grade before I moved to NJ with a mullet, kiss shirt & a pitchfork earing but Id have to scan it...
Dude, sweet pic! You ripped it good last Friday, we were inspired by your playing and I have been practicing my guitar so I could rip like you. Hope all is well and when you have time forward some cool places to check out in Denver.
:P He hasn't logged in since July or so. He is very much a perfectionist, and keeps saying he will log in. I know he wants to totally revamp his profile--so, until he has the time to do that he will not log in. Perfectionist-Geek. That's him...ha!
