Influences
There are two criteria that have to be fulfilled for me to be interested or indeed influenced by something musically.
1. It has to have uniqueness and individuality.
2. It has to be executed with a high degree of accomplishment.
I remember many years ago hearing Stanley Jordan for the first time and not only was he doing this amazing two handed thing on the guitar that I'd never come across before but he displayed a mastery of it that usually only comes from years of study.
