Peter and Alex represent the tasteful combination of their various musical influences ranging from classical and jazz to rock and pop. The two have been playing together for over five years and have formed a style that is both unique and widely appealing.
Peter and Alex have been performing in the Virginia, Maryland and DC areas for years at events ranging from parties at the German Embassy to concerts opening for Percy Sledge and Johnny A. Their debut album “Midnight Madrid” is an accurate representation of what Peter and Alex represent musically, with strong arrangements of classical, jazz, and pop songs as well as original compositions by both performers.
Peter Douskalis currently attends the Conservatory at Shenandoah University on a Jazz scholarship. He is currently majoring in jazz studies for guitar and minors in classical guitar. He studies guitar under Rick Whitehead and Michael Fath. He also has composed works for the theatre departments at both George Washington University and Westfield High School. Peter also regularly performs in the pit orchestra for musicals. He was recently the guest guitarist for "The Wiz" which will be featured on ABC/Disney's "The Making of a High-School Musical."
Alex is currently a student at the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University. He is majoring in classical guitar performance under the instruction of Julian Gray. Besides his work with Peter, he does classical guitar gigs and performances throughout the DC/Maryland/Virginia area, teaches, and is currently pursuing new music with a talented violin player.

“A nice variety of different styles of playing from two fine young guitarists” - Rick Whitehead
“Every once in a great while talent becomes obvious in young players. Guitarists Peter Douskalis and Alex Freidah exemplify this very nicely with the release of their first CD; a wonderful blend of jazz, classical and pop, threading through their arrangements of well-known tunes, but especially with their very own compositions! Both can play, both are creative, but most of all both are musically intuitive and stylistically attentive!” - Michael Fath
"This is a great CD! Whether you are a guitarist or just a music lover, there
is something on here for everyone". - Dan Leonard
