   About Peter Anderson
Peter Reardon-Anderson is a native of Bethesda, MD. At age 9, he started playing clarinet, then later added the tenor saxophone. While still in High School, he was been a member of the Clifford Brown/Stan Getz Fellows, a resident of Jazz Aspen Summer Sessions, Dave Brubeck Summer Colony, a 2-time contestant in the Fish Middleton Scholarship competition, and has been a Downbeat Magazine outstanding soloist. Peter has performed at such venues in New York as The Blue Note, Birdland, Dizzy's Coca-Cola Club, Carnegie Hall, Smalls, and internationally at Londons 100 Club, the Montreal Jazz Festival, Scotland, Japan, and in the Middle East. He has studied with Barry Harris, Frank Wess, and Chris Byars. He has played as a sideman in bands led by Jimmy Heath, Valery Ponamarev, Arturo O'Farrill, and Loren Schoenberg. He currently studies at the Juilliard School's Jazz Program. Peter co-leads a quintet with his twin brother and alto saxophonist, Will, that has performed at DC's Blues Alley, Twins Jazz, Baltimore's Haven, and New York's Smalls and Fat Cat.
