Peter Bailey was born to play drums. At an early age, he took on the role of being the noise making, obnoxious kid, banging on his mothers' pots and pans and many other household objects with spoons. He first sat down behind one of his cousins' drumsets at the age of four. Since that night, there has been no stopping him.
Peter shined in his early music education classes, receiving awards both locally and regionally. This pattern continued throughout his middle and high school years where he continued to receive local, state, regional and national recognition for his outstanding musicianship. After high school, Peter attended West Virginia University and WVU's College of Creative Arts. He quickly made a name for himself with the music staff and fellow classmates through his positive frame of mind, contagious drive and self discipline. These lifelong traits have given and continue to give him performing abilities well beyond his years.
After his Mountaineer days, Peter moved back home to Frederick,MD. He started giving lessons and percussion and drumming cliniques, taught many high school drumlines and studied privately with Greg Herron. Through Greg, Peter has been blessed with the wonderful opportunity to work with the world renown Baltimore Symphony Orchestra off and on for the past two and a half years. Although he loved and cherished every minute on stage as a classically trained percussionist, he was ready for a slightly younger audience.
In early October of 2008 he started the newest chapter of his life and finally made his move to Nashville, TN. Peter has quickly become a top sought after drummer and percussionist. Keep an eye out for this rising star! He is currently the powerhouse behind the highly nominated rock group Beautifully Crude and the rising country Texas native Michael David.
Feel free to book him for studio work, local/national/international gigs, or call him just to hangout.
