I'm born in 1961 and resident in Stockholm, Sweden. I play drums, besides that I spend a lot of time writing music. I've released 5 CD with my own projects.
Meloscope "Deluxe", Kopasetic Productions.
Meloscope "Re: Someone Lost", Kopasetic Productions.
Peter Danemo Kapell "Resonance", dB-Productions.
Peter Danemo Kapell "aLive", Dragon Records.
Peter Danemo Kvartett "Baraban", Dragon Records.
I also had a co-project together with Fredrik Lundin, we made one double CD.
Lundin/Danemo Quartet "Music for Dancers and Dreamers", Stunt Records.
Currently I have to projects running, actually it's 2 quartets one acoustic and one that explores the electronic world.
Meloscope, a quartet with Cennet Jönsson soprano saxophone, Joakim Milder tenor saxophone, Christian Spering acoustic bass and myself on drums. We have released two albums on Kopasetic Produtions. The first one Re: Someone Lost, released january 2007, a live recording of our very first gig on Glenn Miller Café. The second one Deluxe, released october 2008, is a studio recording. For the occasion I added three musicians from the classical world.
Elektra Hyde, also a quartet, with Staffan Svensson trumpet and electronic, Krister Jonsson guitar and electronic, Johannes Lundberg bass, keyboards and electronic, and myself playing drums and electronic. We're planning a recording in the near future.
I also play with other groups like Krister Jonsson Trio, Jakob Davidsen Crossover Ensemble, Nils Jansson, Lina Nyberg. As a sideman I've played on 30 plus CD's with various groups and artists. I'll try to have different samples in my player from various CD's I've played on as a sideman.
I'm also part of Kopasetic Productions, a record label runned by a small musicians collective. Check it out! We have some very fine music in our catalouge, we recently released our 24th album. Much more to come!
In 2006, we also made our very first festival, Kopafestival. Look out for Kopafestival 2009, we're in the middle of planning. It's going to be awesome!
