Frank Borzage, Director
A documentary about the life of an acclaimed pioneer Hollywood film director whose work has been all but forgotten. Premiered at the Isla Vista Theater on Friday, March 21st, 2008. Featuring music by yours truly!
I developed an all-consuming interest in music at around the age of twelve, when my life was pretty miserable due to being stuck in a school environment where I was misunderstood by teachers and alienated by other students. J.S. Bach was my savior. I began studying every instrument I could get my hands on, including my main passion, the church organ. But being a musician wasn't enough for me. I wanted to become a great composer. I tried for years to emulate the style of J.S. Bach, whom I believed was the greatest composer to ever live.
Several years later, after achieving moderate success as a Baroque composer (but not to my satisfaction), I came across another living Baroque composer (there aren't too many of us!) on the Internet by the name of Michael Starke, who became my mentor. He counseled me that perhaps instead of mimicking Bach, I should embrace my own unique style and write what I truly feel rather than what I expect of myself. This was sage wisdom indeed, and immediately I produced my best body of work up to that time ("Keyboard Selections").
I went on to study Music at Santa Barbara City College with such luminary professors as Jim Mooy, Nathan Kreitzer and Dr. John Clark. It was only under their professional guidance that I came to develop an understanding of what it is to be a true Music professional. I have since gone on to form some highly successful projects and even contribute Music to several films. I am currently working with the esteemed composer and virtuoso Michael Krzyzaniak in a creative collaboration that has already yielded much in the way of synergistic results.
Having received nods from some of my idols in Music (some world-famous, others rather obscure but no less meaningful to me), I do not feel a need at the moment to "impress" anybody. I am purely interested in creating some of the greatest Music the world has ever heard. Is that too high an expectation?
lol short and fatty tank eh? I didn't know what a HP 100 tank was till I looked it up. I still have to get my BCD and reg back from a "buddy" othereise I'll have to rent.
I tell you what, if you are conscious of your breathing in your everyday life then you can use that to extend your time under water. You can still "keep breathing" while not using as much air.
Anywho, just thought I'd ask. No worries. Not that it's too important on the island dives anyway. Three tank days are a dime a dozen. If you decide to get certified, let me know and I will help you study. I can help you with the PADI charts at but not the NAUI charts even though my initial certs were with the YMCA.
Had to call an waaambulance this morning for my grandfather. He will be in the hospital for a few days. (He is ok now) I'll keep you updated with my schedule. I for sure want to get together though to at least plan some summer trips.
It's not for sale, but I do believe you can rent lab space from the owner, Igor. (He lives in the basement - little funny in the head since the meth lab exploded). :P
Why thank you! I had always hoped my photos would spark some kind of sci-fi epic. And that I could then make up my own alien religion. First rule: You must wear lead underpants!
I hope you enjoyed your first day off in 2 weeks! And that you don't have to wait 2 weeks for the next one! Hmm...I think I had a pacifier made of "some space-age "iron oxide" amalgam," and I aren't gooder at talk ever, don't remembering things neither.
Thank you thank you! As usual your punrific comments have filled my evening with warm-hearted giggles! I wish it was my backyard. Actually, I take that back. I'd get all Tetanus-ey playing around there.
