  • Sounds Like

....Pete Rivers..... .. ...... .... .... Although, it pains me to say it, my first public performance was on top of my parents back garden shed at our house in Ireland. Aged about 10, I clambered up, not a care in the world, in the days before elf' and safety. .... There I was...bold as brass, ready to entertain my public, fully prepared?of course! What musican/entertainer of any repute would fail to prepare? So on I went, without any need of rehearsal, but full to the brim of bravado and adrenalin. I know what you are thinking, cat on a hot tin roof? I must have stank the joint out of it! Away with ya! I was gonna sing Rhinestone Cowboy complete with straw hat, and a waistcoat made in haste (Trampas from The Virginian!) and nothing was gonna stop me! Despite the fact there was only three strings on the guitar, none of which were tuned- I made enough racket & commotion- on that glorious summer's day, to win myself a round of applause.(Mainly from my loyal brothers and sisters.) but also from our neighbours...!some of whom have never forgiven me! That was it.....still is...and shall remain..... If I can inspire or touch a fellow soul, my job is done. Music is the food of love... cooked just enough, to inspire and desire. To take you through the highs. and the lows. To which we all succumb. In these troubled and difficult days we live in, love is a much derided and over used word, yet love, does indeed make the world go 'round, if it did'nt you and I would not be here.... time we all remembered that!....Before it's all a little to late! .... .. ...... ....Peace Love and Happiness...
