Here's a video of Alex Hebert improvising with me at the Kulak's Woodshed Christmas potluck. We had never played together before. Obviously, Alex had the harder part.

However, if I have never met you and am not likely to recognize you from your profile, please send me a personal e-mail. After about three months here, I am beginning to get hit by CyberSlut profile "friend requests" (probably created by guys in boiler rooms who are trying to advertise pornography) that I have to deny and block. It's the Myspace version of porn spam and it ruins the whole idea of meeting people.
Peter! Thanks so much for coming to the show and for the really nice compliments.. I'm so glad you dig the CD!! See you soon.. enjoy the beautiful weather!!

Hi, and thanks for the friendship! The Danish composer Per Nørgård's music has been much on my mind the past few years. Arguably the most important now living Scandinavian composer also has a remarkable output for the guitar. I spent a couple of years working with the composer on this repertoire, spanning from 1973 to 2000, in order to embrace the emerging performance practice associated with his work.
I have just uploaded 10 new tracks, all taken from "Tales From the North", my double CD box with the complete guitar works of Danish composer Per Nørgård. Also, in my latest blog you will find recent reviews of this release.
For further reading about the composer, this is an excellent website, with articles by a series of scholars and performers that have dedicated much study to his work:

Hey uncle, Sophia Kiri Huang was born on April 27 to be exacted. She was 7 lbs. 8oz. and yes she is named after Grandma Sophie. She is a beautiful bundle of joy, but you probably know that since you saw the pictures on my myspace. I cant believe how fast she's growing! By the time you come up next and get to meet her she will probably be huge! :)
Sorry you got kept out of the loop too. Motherhood is keeping me extremely busy! Hope you understand.
I can explain the Amanita mushroom (pretty, but pretty deadly). My brother and father live in Redding, east of the Humboldt coast. So . . . I went went camping and hiking with my brother in the redwoods at the end of last November -- the off season, but the weather wasn't too terrible. Also, a little-known detail of my past . . . I took Botany in college from Dr. Wishard, a mycologist, who also happened to live in Topanga, I believe.

I know, it has been there for years. It's practically a Santa Monica staple. I know they are renovating the space, but I'm not sure if it's 14 Below that's making those changes or a new owner. Would be great to see you!
