NEW ALBUM OUT NOW!
NEW CD RELEASE BY TRANSSUBSTANS/ RECORD HEAVEN with songs which I recorded back in the early 70s and around that time, a few of them also featuring my brother Niklas!
As reviewed by RECORD HEAVEN in November 2008:
Peter Lindahl is a well known Swede in the psychedelic underground scene, both a a multiinstrumentalist and having performed with the likes of IN THE LABYRINTH, a painter and true dedicated hippie of the old school. For the first time, Transubstans gathers his 70's recordings into a unique compilation from the time when bands like TYRANNOSAURUS REX, PUGH ROGEFELDT and PINK FLOYD were the main influence. A 16 tracker of how psyched out a Swede could be in the early 70's, armed with a guitar, and odd aditional instruments. And as usual, we provide a fully detailed story about what was then, and what is now.
My name is PETER LINDAHL and I've been working with music and art for as long as I can remember.
For many years I've also been experimenting with a music project called "IN THE LABYRINTH", by which so far there have been three albums released on CD and lots of single tracks on various compilations.
Now my first ever solo album is out and it's called "PSYCHEDELIC SWEDEN"! The label behind it is Transsubstans/ Record heaven. They have released it both on CD and as a download album on Klicktrack and cdbaby.
All four of the new tracks I've set up here have been taken from this release with the song "Yesterdays dreams" featuring both my brother Niklas and me.
Hi Peter, thanks for adding me to your space and welcome to mine. Also thanks for your nice comment! Best wishes from The Netherlands, keep on rocking! Cheers, PRF.
Hello Peter, Thanks for visiting my site and having a listen. Yes Bo Hansson is a favorite in my CD collection. Never grows old even after all these years. Peter I also enjoyed listening to your material. I wish you success in your endeavors!
Hej Peter, hur mar ni? Jag hoppas att ni är friska och pigga och att ni har ocksa sa fint och varmt väder nu. Har ni redan varit i Skansen da? Hälsn., Iris
Thanks Peter for your nice mail and painting. It s very good indeed. I m sure you ve got a good remark from the teacher.
And yes that Bo Hansson record "the Magician s hat" is absolutely fantastic. Though I think that all his records from the seventies are masterpieces in their own way.
It would be a great experience if we were able to enjoy the Lord of the Rings movies accompanied by the music of mr Hansson. But there is one movie that does feature the music of our beloved musician. The movie is called Tillsammans. A good change that your already familiar with it and if not, you definitely have to see it.
I do hope that you will keep on making great music but it s indeed important to wait for the right time.
Here is a nice painting by mr Waterhouse for you. It s called A Hamadryad from 1893.
Hi Peter, our mutual friend has helped me write a song. It is called "Grandpa's Penny". You can hear it as well as view a recognizable photograph of the two of us. Let me know what you think.
Peter I’m so disappointed that you never finished any of your children’s books. Your fairy tale art would be some of the most famous images to date. I can put my life on it! I hope you can, or will, some day find the time to finish all the wonderful stories and illustrations, I working on 5 books at the moment. I really hope to see more of your work soon.
