I first hit the stage in 1978 in my second hometown Brisbane, Australia, in The Supports. The Supports split after a slow, pleasant and unrepeatable tour of North Queensland in a double-decker bus with The Go-Betweens. I then went on to play in a number of bands in Brisbane such as Mute 44 and the Birds of Tin before moving to London in early 80s, gigging and recording there for the next seven years with the Brisbane-born, London-based band Tiny Town. I then moved on to Barcelona where I eventually, fired up the furnaces and took the helm once more to record "A Bend in the Road" (2002), "Sea-shanties for Landlubbers" (2004), "Moving Along" (2006), and "Room at the Inn" (2007). --- In 2008, with the help of Andrew Henley, we recorded the soundtrack for the Rose Kowalski film "Això és una construcción", which featured in VAD 2009: “Festival internacional de vídeo i arts digitals” in Girona, Spain. --- Four Peter Loveday short stories from the collection Rock Dreams are to appear in the autumn 2009 issue of the literary magazine PEN International, Volume 59, No. 2. The stories will be published in Spanish. --- The new album “Standard Ideal” is now available, online at www.peterloveday.com. Digital downloads will also be available soon.

DICTADURA
La palidez llenó su rostro y un escalofrío recorrió todo su cuerpo cuando el frío del metal se posó en su entrecejo. Un sudor helado invadió su frente cuando un dedo accionó el percutor hacia atrás. Un dolor insoportable crispó sus sienes cuando otro dedo accionó el gatillo. Finalmente su mente recordó toda su vida en milésimas mientras todo su cuerpo se estremecía al recibir aquella bala en el cerebro.
